=============================== IC Broadcasts ================================ Message: 9/22 Posted Author DOOMSDAY WEAPON CHANGE Tue Jul 11 Sunstar ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A break in the news, as the inane reporters speak of a change registering on their unique Orbit!-Cam.. Why must they always coin 'kewld00d' terms for such things? In any event, the news reports change to show a replay of what has just occurred. Rapidly closing in upon the Destroyer, upon Sunstar, upon He with Sunflowers for Knee Guards, the swirling waves of energy around the Stardroid cease quite abruptly. If the camera were capable of getting closer, they would see the smile that blooms across the face of the Doomsday Weapon. Drawing his arms in, the odd instruments that have been present during the phase of energy gathering retracting, he seems to draw himself together, into a slightly smaller, more ball-ish shape. Holding the position for little over a minute, he then throws his arms out, a blast of energy being discharged -- and in it's wake, a new light surrounds Sunstar, a large blue aura bursting into existence. The camera changes its views, down to the mobile news van presently positioned within San Angeles. They turn the camera up to face the sun, special lens' preventing any actual harm in the viewing -- and the sun is slowly being replaced, it would seem, by the blue. In truth, the sun now appears like a rather.. odd coloured eye. The Planet Destroyer has entered his second stage. Earth nears destruction. ==============================================================================
=========================== Unified Global Defense =========================== Message: 28/36 Posted Author Uranus Encounter Tue Jul 11 Dr. Wily ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Last night's encounter with Uranus proved interesting indeed. Myself and several Alliance members...along with two knuckleheaded Reploids... whose names I shall exclude from this... traveled down to the African Rainforest near the sloaps of Mt. Kilamanjaro. There we searched for quite some time until we found the epicenter of the Quakes. No damage was really done as the location has no real civilizations nearby. Anyway... We spoke to Uranus for a time and he appeared he gave us his key... He did not. In reality he gave us a fake that crumbled to dust in a few hours! This Stardroid is playing games like the rest... but he did give an interesting warming... 'Do not underestimate the Enormity of our Task... and do not overestimate the Power of our Foes.' Also we heard from Neptune that they are not the ones we should truely be fighting... an interesting notion, yes? But for now... Continue with the plan... The next encounter with Uranus will be handled by the more... likeable types with me there only for counciltation and if the need arises to take the key. I imagion more co-operation that way on the part of Uranus for a peaceful solution. Wily, out.

San Angeles Memorial Stadium
Byte nods at General and blanches at Chi, "You disgust me. I simply wish to remember your atrocity after I kill you."
The WilyDragon slowly stretches as it lays down on the Visitor In-Zone... Furling it's wings to it's sides and gazes to Dillo in response. "No, Armadillo... we are gathering to unify ourselves once more..." The Dragon looks to General and gives a crocodile smile. "But of course, General... We have hardly been decimated... a few have been damaged but nothing we cannot repair... Venus and Neptune have fallen to us... soon... Pluto... Jupiter... Mars... Uranus... Saturn and Duo himself shall join them. Though... Duo may be interesting... it is your place... as well as that of Sigma... Megaman... and Bass to defeat him... As for the day... we gather our forces and prepare... then we can meet out the Stardroids when they fall..."
Twila Peterson approaches the entrance of the stadium with her escort, looking about at the damaged that was sustained by the visiting Pluto several days before...as well as some of the small reconstruction given to at least clear some of the debris.
The massive head of the WilyDragon turns apon the arrival of Twila. "Ahh... Miss Peterson... so glad you could join us."
Chi simply turns away from byte, stating with a detached tone, "Spare me the dramatics. Try to kill me when the Stardroid threat has been resolved and I will entertain your vendetta all you like."
Armored Armadillo grunts softly. "I see, a gatherin'." Her gaze dances from assembled character to assembled character. "I see no complimentary refreshments. Couldn't we bring in Heat Man to run a barbecue?"
General allows his arms to fold once more, gaze scanning up toward Sunstar yet again. He keeps his focus there, apparantly in thought as he replies, "Of course, Doctor. Wherever I am needed, I shall be. Such is my purpose for existence and desire."
Signal Shrike flaps in, circling around the stadium and trying to find a familiar and friendly face or two.
Byte nods at Chi, "Oh, I will. You need not worry." He floats up to General, "I assume you are CO for this operation?"
The thudding of the General's footfalls and the landing of the WilyDragon shakes free a large piece of rubble... which happens to be right above Cut Man... this is fortuitous for all as it falls on his head with a loud clang.
Twila Peterson gets some of her attention distracted before being drawn to the odd gathering and blinks. She feels somewhat of of place and a little awkward since she's technically still only a "civilian" rather than a military mind. It's not an entirely new feeling of course. But she deals with it the best we can. "Looks more damaged in person than over the monitors..." she mumbles. Cut Man looks up as the rock falls towards him, he levels his head so that the blade faces up, "HAHAHAHA!"... *CHING* The rock is balance on his head for a moment before squishing Cutsy.
A Mumble is heard from the rock, "Little help here, Please?"
Seminole enters through a ruined stadium entrance, making his way toward the gathered crowd. At 8 feet tall within his armor, he doesn't have a hard time looking for familiar faces...
Chi erks in surprise a bit at the falling rock. He shrugs, and moves over to Cut Man. He tries to lift it up a bit as he asks, "Need a hand?" Armored Armadillo casually saunters over to the rock in question and rolls it off with a push or two of her big ol' hands. "You should be wearing a hard hat here. Get it? Hard hat. Eh...nevermind."
Signal Shrike fortunately has superior sight and hearing. Convenient, that. He spots Twila and circles down and lands near her, his wings folding in behind him and perking his head slightly as he listens to the goings-on.
Clay might be familiar. You never know though. He's certainly isn't causing much of a commotion on his own accord, simply standing by one of the many entrance thresholds, a'waitin'.
Twila Peterson is more than likely the only one in the group besides a certain mad scientist who's dressed casually. No armor to distinguish her. However, seems that it's not entirely needed. She jumps slightly as Signal lands right beside her and tosses him a small grin. "I'll never get used to you doing that. Hi, Shrike."
The WilyDragon shrugs slightly, gazing about. "It is whole enough for our purposes, Miss Peterson. As for the CO... the two in charge of the operation are Megaman and Bass... but seeing as they are off trying to deal with some of the panic about...well Megaman is anyway. I suggest in their absence. General and Sigma hold command... I am simply the consultant for this operation..."
Cut Man crawls away after the rock is remove, "Thanks." He crawls over to Wily, Or the dragon which ever, and asks, "Can you make the hurting stop?"
Armored Armadillo bounces once, something she's good at, and seats herself firmly on the large rock, getting comfy. It's most noble a perch. From afar, Neptune gets chills reading the log of you and Rick talking The WilyDragon looks down to Cut Man with a sigh... "Why don't you go keep Ice Man company in the repair chamber, hmm?"
Twila Peterson blinks towards the dragon before glancing towards Shrike. She then turns back towards the large mechanical pet, very well remembering what part it, and the person within, had played in the drama of last night and thinking ill thoughts. "The one mentioned last night? Uranus?"
Seminole can of course see General and the Wilydragon, but they're not exactly the type to just go up and talk to. He does spot his fellow Hunters, shuffling through the crowd to get toward them. When finally close enough to speak, he offers the pair a nod. "We're going after Uranus?" he wonders, trying to catch up.
Enforcer Malamute makes his way over towards Armor, standing next to her with his arms folded across his chest. He turns to look towards her, nodding slightly in greeting. Then he turns his attention back towards the larger group
General closes his eyes as he replies, "I will lead when it is necessary. My primary concern is that the Repliforce be as effective an aid as possible. Secondary involves the weapon directly above us even now." He snaps his eyes open, glaring directly at the ball of energy, "Mere days is what we have, my friends. While numbers may be on our side, the time to take mobilizing our forces must increase, such as tension must decrease. Trust, for now, is required." He sweeps his optics over the stadium, "We all wish to follow our own leaders and ideals, but if our planet is to survive, individual egos cannot dictate."
Chi nods towards the General, checking a few things about the stadium as he does. "Personal vendettas are not a problem for me in this, General." Byte simply nods, "There is a time and place for everything."
Signal Shrike's expression shows a frown, even if his beak cannot. "That sounds more than a little like a witch hunt to me, even if it is for a noble cause." He gives a nod towards the Mavericks and Masters, "And I'm afraid that's what this whole thing is going to turn into, if we're not careful."
The Dragon looks to General and nods. "I agree, General. I agree." The dragon lowers its head in thought for a moment... then speaks again. "I may be Mad... but even I can see the need in this." The Dragon looks to Vader-Clone. "We must all work together and not fight in this... even though it is very hard... for we of Chaos and Order to work together... we must." The dragon looks to General. "Terra will be able to handle the weapon that hangs above us... If all else fails... And the hour is at an end... I will deal with Sunstar...personally." The Dragon looks up to the ball of cyan light in the sky... "I shall die for this world if I must... I do this for the Earth... and Myself. Then... Let us Trust... we all work for a common goal... our survival... in this none of us will betray another as it will be useless to do so. Let us FIGHT as one... let us WIN as one."
Seminole tilts his head at Shrike curiously. "You're rather the world destroyed, Shrike?" he questions, giving the Hunter a half grin. "The Mavericks and Masters are brutal, but they're efficient and you know we couldn't do it without them."
Slash Man stands up, letting his arms fall to his side. "Hey, Doc!" he calls as he leaps out onto the field with some impressive air time. He lands near the WilyDragon. "Are we going to do something today, or what?"
Byte mutters, "I'm touched. Really."
Signal Shrike shakes his head, "I'm not saying that, Seminole. But at what cost are we doing this? If we do slaughter the Stardroids, it may save the planet.. but what will it have done to us?"
Twila Peterson glances about her again and rubs the back of her head. "If anything, last night showed at least *some* study should be given to the Greeco/Roman Pantheon. That's what helped a bit with understanding Neptune. Probably would help with the other Stardroids as well...so they don't have to all be fought." At this she glares pointedly towards the WilyDragon, but doesn't add more of what she's thinking.
Chi shoots a glance back at Byte annoyingly. "Quiet. The Doctor is trying to motivate and clarify things before we move out."
Byte growls at Chi, "You will order me around at your own peril."
Cut Man looks around after he gets no responce and limps off to take a seat on a part of the rock that nearly squished him. He nods to the Armadillo, probably a bad thing for her...
Chi shrugs. "I have faced worse. As we both shall in due time." His tone remains as neutral as ever, but a slight hint of annoyance is starting to creep into it. With that, he turns back to listen to General and Wily for any other announcements.
The WilyDragon looks to Twila with a nod. "True... We have 4 days, Twila. Four days." The Dragon shakes his head. "I am afraid Byte is correct... We may have no other choice but to destroy them... We will give each a single chance from now on... /one/ /chance/ /only/... If they refuse... they will be defeated..."
Armored Armadillo leans back to avoid Cut Man's headgear as it waves about in that hazardous manner. "Good afternoon, Cut Man." Again with the congeniality.
Signal Shrike mutters, "And if there's one we can't defeat?"
Dr. Doppler leans back on one of the audience seats far, far, FAR away from the others. Hiding in his own little opaque corner from the others gathered around. Byte glances at Shrike, "We die, and the world dies with us."
General raises his hand in calm salute toward the Dragon, "As shall I, Doctor. Thus is my sole purpose. If a Stardroid attacks this day, I wish to be there. If our words do not reach it, then it shall know our fury. Yet, as Neptune has taught us, let us not give up hope that they may eventually listen. Doctor, ensure that Bass does not act in the same manner again." Thus said, and his arm lowered, he looks toward Twila and actually lowers himself down. His hand extends as if offering her a platform, "Come, Miss Peterson. I have a question for you."
Chi turns back to Wily, he seems a bit disappointed at that declaration but nods. "If it must be that way. However..." He looks to General, "Is that our standing policy as well, sir? One chance, or some other method?"
General shifts his optics to gaze at Chi momentarily, "We will do what we must, Chi. All efforts, at least by me, shall be main to rationally speak to any Stardroid. Yet, reason can only go so far with so little time. I only pray the rest know how the threat looms and if they love this world, they will submit."
Seminole watches Wily speak, shrugging a bit. "That seems fair enough..." Looking back at Signal Shrike, he can only frown. "We'll have to just try it again. It's not like we can /give up/. The whole world's at stake."
Twila Peterson snorts in open disgust towards Wily. "Always go for the gun first..." She then straightens and crosses her arms across her chest with a troubled sigh, peering towards the dragon. Her mood changes to one of curiosity as she's addressed by another and makes her way over towards him, and carefully steps within his hand, sitting to keep better balance. "Yes, Sir?" she asks respectively.
The Dragon regards General for a long moment, and nods. "I shall endeavor to try and help Bass control his temper... but then... Like father like son they say..." The Dragon shakes it's massive head and lets out a sigh. "We will do it both ways, General... The hope is not lost in my heart. Uranus may have tricked me last night... but I will give him a final chance." Wily looks from the General to Twila... "You two may speak to him this time... perhaps Children of Order can be more convincing..."
Mirage Hyena comes running down the steps of the stadium, shouting out, "Wait! Hold on! I'm here! I don't wanna miss anything!" However, co-ordination is not her best skill, and she trips on a piece of trash and once again begins descending in a much more painful manner, much like she did the day that Pluto attacked the place.
Chi tosses a sharp salute and nod at that declaration. "Understood. Your will is mine in this regard. I stand ready at any time should you need me." He then seems to be glancing about aimlessly.
The Dragon then looks to Byte and Chi. "With the lack of your counterparts... I suggest you two /try/ and work together... the Gestahlts are a powerful force even separated... If You two work together it will help even more. Perhaps Bit and Ten will arrive as well..."
Byte blinks and stares at the Dragon, "You can't be serious. I cannot work with that... that... abomination!"
General nods in general to everyone that addresses him without any sort of pun intended. Once Twila is settled upon his hand, though, he rears himself back to full height and regards her at better height scale for the sake of properly hearing her out, "It is good to see you well, Miss Peterson. It seems the world has forgotten the words of Libra in this dark hour. Therefore, I wish to know of your findings - The mythology. It may hold no credit to our cause, but yet it may. Do speak, so that I might likewise understand."
Chi looks back to Byte calmly. "Then do not. His offer still stands though. If you wish to work with me, merely ask and I will do so for the duration of the crisis." His tone really starts to seem like it's audibly mixing professionalism with heavy annoyance.
Armored Armadillo now perks her ears towards General and Twila. She always liked Mythology, and it's more likely to be interesting than the standard pep-talks one would expect to hear at this time.
The Dragon narrows his eyes at Vader-boy. "I am..." The Dragon moves it's head closer to Byte. "Do you have a problem with it, Byte? We work together here... So ACT LIKE IT!" This last is shouted... the force of it enough to push Byte back a bit... "You two may hate each other... but you two are strong and will work well together... you may kill each other /after/ we kill the Stardroids." Mirage Hyena peels herself off the stadium floor in time to catch general's statement, then brushes herself off and looks up... and up... and up... "Woah... I would ask for an autograph, but I doubt he could hold the pen in his hands without crushing it."
Byte narrows his optics at the Dragon, unmoved, "Only because Lord Sigma wishes it." He glares at Chi, "Try to stay out of my way."
The Dragon nods, drawing his head back to look to General and his... ick... Counterpart... audio receptors tuned to listen...
Chi merely shrugs. "Whatever. The mission above personal wishes." He's really trying to hold back the urge to reach back and just...smack Byte upside the head for this vendetta thing.
The Dragon looks down to Clay... blinking... "Oh yes... you were the one Ordnance Gopher recruited... Glad to have you on our side..." The dragon leans
Twila Peterson pauses to think in order to arrange her thoughts. "The Mythological figures of the Greek/Roman pantheon are what's being drawn on by the Stardroids as a basis. Mercury's namesake was considered a Messenger of the gods. He deals with knowledge and how it's applied. That was one of the keys we were given. Venus, also known as Aphrodite in Greek, was known as 'conquering all hearts'. The Stardroid was ultimately defeated by unity. Neptune, who's namesake was worshipped for Navigation, was defeated by changing his mind..." At this she offers the WilyDragon another cold glare before turning back towards General with a small shrug. "And Terra is based on 'Gaia', 'Earth'."
Seminole crosses his arms over his chest, looking up at watching General and Twila speak. He occasionally glances at the Dragon and the other Reploids, but
The Dragon and more importantly... the Mad Scientist within... hears the words of Twila... letting out a bit of a disgusted snort... but perhaps they could apply here. Ahh, well...
Signal Shrike keeps an audio open to all the chitchat, but goes back to trying to figure out how the Stardroids are communicating with each other. Figure that out, and half the battle is won. In his opinion, at least.
Byte speaks up, "According to Serene, the Stardriods are immortal. Our victories are only temporary."
Mirage Hyena looks up at Twila and clears her throat, "Like, Miss Twinky, or Tequila, or whatever your name is, what about the other Stardroids?"
Chi looks at Byte, suddenly not annoyed but inquisitive. "Say that again, would you?"
Slash Man turns his attention to Twila and bounds over to her. "Hey, what about Pluto?" he asks curiously.
The Dragon looks to Byte arching... -The DragonBrow- ...slowly. "I figured as much... This is no judgment... this is the Test for the Judgment." The Dragon looks to Twila and slowly nods. "Such as what Libra said... this is the test like what happened to her world..."
Seminole looks over at Byte, speaking up. "Excuse me, I thought the point of our battles was to get the Keys, not kill them. If we can free Terra and have him stop Sunstar from destroying Earth, wouldn't that be better than killing them?"
Byte sighs, "I spoke with the... Zodiac that refereed to herself as Serene. She stated the Stardriods are immortal."
The Dragon nods slowly...
Byte glances at Seminole, "We will do what we must to acquire the keys."
Chi would curse and swear if that were proper, but he does not. Thinking on it for a moment, realization hits him. "Wonderful. Bass turned an immortal ally into an immortal enemy now. Just wonderful..."
Twila Peterson pauses to answer Slash Man. "Pluto, the god of death and Hades. Was explained that 'he who known death becomes death, and he who slays death, concerns death." She looks over towards the other Reploid, frowning slightly as being called "Twinky". What's she look like...a snack cake? "As for the others...that's what I'm trying to study..."
"A pleasure to hear one who hath remembered mine words, Perverter. And her name be Selene, Halfling." Guess who's heeeeerreee....... Up near the ceiling, floating, is Libra, casting off her usual 'Hi, I'm evil' glow. And smiling. Oh, is she smiling.
Signal Shrike looks over at Chi and nods, "We don't need to be ticking these super-powered beings off.. we need to understand why--"
Byte stares upwards, "Who are you?"
Clay diverts his gaze momentarily towards Chi and Byte, both responses invoking a myriad of new conclusions and theories to speculate upon. He is rather uninformed on the entire subject, Stardroids and their wondrous ways... and concludes for the most part he's not going to compound further on the subject that hasn't already been brought forth. Still, he muses aloud in a distant thought to no one in particular, "Singular sightings are not always a possibility.." And that's when he looks up and spies the Libra. Oh yes.
Mirage Hyena blinks and looks up at Libra, then falls over as she tilts back just a bit *too* much. She then scampers to her feet and frumps, "Like, what are you doing here? Didn't Duo, like, ban you from interfering?"
General nods his head at Twila and slowly sets her back down upon the ground, "I see. Most intriguing, Ms. Peterson, I shall bear this in mind as we act. Once a target is designated, do let us know what you have discovered about it." He rears back up to full height as he notices Libra in the sky, "Libra..." thunders his voice in recognition of the Stardroid. After all, she did take over the UN at one time. He's well aware of who she is.
Ice Man looks up. Another Stardroid? uh oh. And he just got repaired after what Neptune had done to him. Well, being a Robot Master is though. He waits for someone else to attack first for a change...
The Dragon instantly looks up, letting out an angered RRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR that nearly overcomes all other words... in it is anger... hate... and Insane Rage. "LLLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIBBBBBRRRRRRAAAAA!" The Dragon snarls, advancing on the Zodiac at once... the eyes narrowing into slits as he unfurls his massive wings. "You /dare/ show yourself?!"
Seminole looks up as Libra appears, fist unconsciously clenching at the sight of the Stardroid. He gazes at General and Twila for a moment, then returns to looking at Libra. A Stardroid, kill it!
Byte floats up between the Dragon and Libra, squinting, "Who ARE you?" Signal Shrike takes a protective step closer to Twila, his static shield generator charging up. Not that it would do much good against a Stardroid, but...
Twila Peterson ers and lifts her gaze up towards the voice. Oh, terrific. She throws an even worse look of disgust towards this particular Stardroid than she had done at Wily. She makes a point of rolling her eyes. Usually she would be a bit more nervous. But after the last few days she's more angry than anything else. "Cute. So what are *you* here for?"
Enforcer Malamute looks up, his optics narrowing behind his mirrored sunglasses. Of course, then the WilyDragon flips out, which brings his attention from Libra onto it. But, he knows that the real threat is the Stardroid that the dragon is heading towards
Armored Armadillo manages to halt the rolling stone, finding a more or less stable perch atop, if only temporarily. Her muzzled head tilts up to regard Libra, silent for now. She doesn't look so tough.
Iris enters the open and half destroyed Stadium...or rather, she parks Vanguard outside and tries to get as close as she can so she can see what's goin on. No roof here, folks... ^_^
Dr. Doppler is suddenly jerked back to attention by the dragon's roar the initial arrival of a Stardroid. The cyborg's systems immediately jump online and grab a visual scan of the newest arrival, matching the identity with that of Libra. Mechanical gears whir to life, the doctor stands up slowly from his long seated position away in the shadows. So inconspicuous that he doubts anyone even took note of his presence. Calmly, he walks down the stairs towards the others. Keeping his cool, the not-so-good doctor doesn't jump to anger. No, such is the way of the flesh, not like the calm and calculating attitude of the machine. General actually set her down, but it's not like Twila's 'actually' perceptive. We know that.
Chi seems a bit unnerved by that massive roar from the Wily Dragon. Regaining his composure, he looks to Libra with a curious look, but does not make any move beyond that. He starts to speak but stops, his question already asked by everyone else.
Libra bows in the air, mockingly. Any question of just who she is should be answered by the masses whispering and shouting her name. The infamous nature of the meddling Zodiac seems to have proceeded her to this location. "I see mine deeds are also remembered. Lower thine weapons, for there is indeed a purpose for my arrival..." Her smile shifts to a cruel smirk, as she slowly lowers towards the ground. "I wish to congratulate all of you upon the elimination of Neptune. It has been a grand victory for us. The Balance has shifted an untold distance because of thine efforts... something which I give personal thanks to each and all of you." She lands on a bit of rubble, stumbling a little as she does. A Stardroid, stumbling? Perhaps the aftermath of Eclipse's death has not yet left her. "Your efforts are impressive. And for that reason, I arrive here."
Signal Shrike growls to no one in particular, "At least we know these immortals aren't above backstabbing each other."
Twila Peterson steadies her stance...mindfully remaining by the Repliforcer as well as Shrike, staring towards the intruder. "As if you had our best interests at heart. You've done all you could to block anything done at every turn. Why would now be different?"
Byte floats down with Libra, "Serene?"
Mirage Hyena blinks and scratches her head. Wasn't this the same Libra that tried to stop them from protecting their planet at every turn? The same that had Eclipse killed? The same that turned the UN into her own personal game? Weird... Armored Armadillo listens intently, at least until the rock starts to roll once more, and again she is forced to scamper along with its movement lest she be tossed off and crushed. The log-rolling 'Dillo circles the assembled rogue's gallery like a vulture..
Chi follows Libra with his eyes/optical sensors/whatever, thinking on those words for a moment. He waits for Twila to finish speaking, and then asks, "Surely you did not come this way just to congratulate us. You have another purpose, I presume?"
(Ch. B [RepComm]) Signal Shrike transmits: 'Be careful, Twila.. she may still try something.'.
Dr. Doppler continues approaching the others, hey he's old and slow okay. His gaze remains locked with the Stardroid, allowing her to explain her presence...but doesn't buy it. "You mean to tell me that you come /here/ simply to congratulate us? Ha! I doubt that, I seriously do...Indeed as Ms. Peterson claims, you /have/ made efforts to slow our progress. If anything your actions have defined your position on this matter, you have sided with Sunstar and Chaos. Why are you here?"
Seminole continues watching Libra, remaining silent as the others around him ask the same thing he's wondering. He slowly moves from his spot near Shrike, toward where Twila was let down by General.
The WilyDragon snarls and rumbles deepening... noting the stumble with an arched... -Dragonbrow-. The eyes narrow as the Dragon and the man within seem to visibly calm. "Congratulations are... dismissed... You have no right to do so... As for /us/, Libra... there /is/ /no/ /us/..." The claws dig into the football field and stone below them... shattering a boulder like it wasn't even there... imagining it to be this puny Stardroid before him he is devastating... "The Balance has indeed shifted... to us... to the side of the World. Order and Chaos fight together... united. We deny you and your master, Libra. I will see you both vaporized..."
(Ch. B [Lighthawk]) Seminole transmits: 'I doubt she'll try anything, since she'd be instantly killed by the rest of us.'.
Signal Shrike nods to Twila with the barest hint of movement, but keeps his optics locked on Libra, and his shield generator on standby.
General clenches a fist as he forces himself to remain calm while he studies Libra, "Do not forget, thou hypocrite, that Bass destroyed Neptune of his own whims. It was not intended that he should die. Your congratulations, to myself at least, are hardly appropriate are welcome." He allows his hand to relax now, gaze tilting up a little as he fully focuses upon the floating zodiac. He, too, wonders just why she is truly here, but he makes no move to ask the same question. Everyone else has already done it for him. 'I do wonder if she is here to proclaim a change of sides? To mock us, perhaps? Such tension... Such tension indeed forged from her mere presence. Does she not know of the malice that focuses toward her now in coming here?' thinks the Repliforce commander to himself.
Twila Peterson tosses a brief glance towards the WilyDragon, hoping he's not implying he'll take down who she's thinking. That...would be bad...
Oh... he is.
Libra corrects Byte again, more firmly. "Selene." Then she smiles cheerfully at the crowd as they question her motives for this arrival. "I do indeed arrive to congratulate you. And, perhaps, give to thee some assistance." She looks right into the eyes of the WilyDragon, letting the mad Doctor know just *who* has won their little game of chess. "The fate of a single world means naught to I. Survival or destruction matters but no more than the dust between the stars. But through your efforts, several of my brethren have fallen. Neptune. Eclipse. Venus." Her eyes narrow, getting to the point of her little speech. "All servants of Order. No matter the reasons or the methods, they be gone - and Chaos gathers its strength within Starhaven. Thus... I do congratulate and thank each and all for this service."
Twila Peterson blurts angrily, "What do you mean *our* efforts? You're the one that had Eclipse executed!"
Ice Man starts double-checking his systems and armament in case this turns out like all-out war with Neptune...
Signal Shrike whispers: 'She's twisting the truth. We have 3 of the keys, and she's scared.'.
Mirage Hyena sticks her tongue out at Libra, "You're just a big old meanie! Someone outta spank you!"
Twila Peterson offers a bear nod to Shrike and spouts out something someone else had informed her. "Your truths are lies, Lirba."
Ice Man looks Libra over.....hey....she ain't bad lookings....kinda cute. but nothing can beat Ice Man's cuteness! I should have a Charm-attack! Byte shrugs at the correction and drops to a low hover next to Chi, conserving energy. He focuses on the threat before them and hisoptics glow softly.
Dr. Doppler frowns and comes to a halt, "Are you implying that /we/ just did /your/ dirty work? That /we/ just brought ourselves closer to annhialation?"
Chi remains quiet, noticing Byte's proximity to him, but he has no visible objection to this. He merely waits, watching...
Enforcer Malamute turns his attention towards Mirage, glaring at her. He makes his way over towards her, "I would quiet myself...Stardroids aren't ones to mess with..."
The WilyDragon narrows it's eyes at Libra. "You say it was by our hand that Eclipse fell? Nae... it was by yours. You tricked Luna into killing her own kin... Venus may be dead... but Neptune might not be... We did not see his corpse... or his explosion. Chaos himself will fall before us, Libra. You and your kind are on the Judgment Block... not us. Even now I imagine Saturn hunts you... and Sunstar's rage will not be quelled by this world's destruction if he even achieves it... They will turn their wrath on you. You are hunted, Libra. By your own kind and by us. You have no where to run. No where to hide. You... will... die... as will your master."
Mirage Hyena looks over at Enforcer, and would normally agree with him, but she's sick of all the reports of Libra messing with them, and just wants to see her get what's coming to her, "Bah! I'll say what I want to. It's about time someone stuck it to them 'all mighty' Stardroids."
General rears his massive arms up, folding them across his chest. He says nothing for now, but merely dwells silently upon his own thoughts. He listens, of course, but he does not find it appropriate to add anything to the conversation further. After all, he has not been present for most of these events and can offer only that which he has heard.
Twila Peterson again casts a deeply concerned glance towards WIly, choosing not to debate with him openly about what he's stating regarding Chaos himself. This isn't the place. Although, if he does go through with it...she fears terrible consequences indeed.
Libra smiles at the pair of Doctors, both telling her she's wrong. "The fate of your world means nothing. While the others may have their own agenda with this planet, I care not. Eclipse's death was indeed at our own hands, but it was his betrayal to you which prompted it. Each and all were caused by the efforts of your small forces - and, with luck, more shall fall as well. In the end, I shall laugh over their graves. To save your world, you must destroy those whom block your path - and who are also mine rivals and enemies. Say what you wish of this Judgment - but it is already a victory for I, my wonderful, *wonderful* pawns. You have shown in the truest way what the grandest force of the universe is. Not the seas of Neptune, or Uranus' earth. Not the skys, the forces of battle itself, or even pure information. But the heart which moves people to act." Then she laughs. And it's a Wily-Laugh, from deep within her and loud. "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Ice Man runs a diagnostic's program while he checks his joints, "Oh boY! Oooooooh Boy! What happens if something's missing?! What happens if my Ice Slasher fails if that Stardroid decides to attack!?" he begins to sweat which quickly turns into very tiny icicles and falls down and breaks on the ground.
Twila Peterson openly rolls her eyes. "Carefull, Libra, you're soon going to be weighed by your own scales!"
Mirage Hyena just has to get one thing off her chest though, "If you don't care what happens to us or our planet, why are you constantly trying to *stop* us?!"
Chi seems to be sizing up Libra. He seems a bit annoyed at the "evil laughter(tm)" and still makes no hostile move, but seems agitated. He looks back to Mirage Hyena for a moment and nods. "She has a point. You DO have motives here. Claiming neutrality or apathy is not valid in this matter."
Byte glances at Chi, completely in battle mode now, "If we strike, we strike together. Hard."
Dr. Doppler stands waiting for Libra to finish cackling. "Are you done?"
Seminole glares at Libra. .oO(Urge to kill... RISING!)Oo.
Chi quickly nods to Byte, his Masamune held in his left hand but not readied. "Agreed. Wait for the go to strike though, if we get one. I sense there is more to this than we can see..."
Iris idly pipes, "You're not a very nice person, Stardroid...But you're smart, and you know -exactly- what strings to pull to get your puppets to do what they need to do."
You whisper 'What I wouldn't give to hit her with something really hard right now. I doubt she recovered from that battle with Eclipse...' to Signal Shrike.
Byte snorts lightly, "There always is." He glances around for the heaviest metal object in the stadium, "I suspect we will only get on chance to strike." Creeping in among the rubble of the stadium, from Pluto's assault, is Quinton Reed. Still a little dinged up, he's come nonetheless, blue helmet over his head, save his face, which has a black plexi-glass cover..
Ice Man waits for the time to attack to come. It is coming.......soon another Stardroid can join her comrades in Stardroid Hell.
(Ch. E [None]) Quinton Reed transmits: 'Gimme a status report, folks. What's going on?'.
(Ch. E [None]) Chi transmits: 'A standoff situation is what we have. The stalemate may be broken soon however, but I do not know.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Mirage Hyena transmits: 'Bah, I say we waste Libra and be done with it. At best it'll even up the 'balance' she talked about, at worse least we'll shut her up.'.
(Ch. E []) Twila Peterson transmits: '*sarcasm* Good friend Libra coming to join us for a spot of tea...'.
The WilyDragon narrows it's eyes to slits... its maw beginning to glow... as to those eyes as he listens to Libra. "No, Libra... it was you who first caused Eclipse to betray his fellows. I hold that he /never/ betrayed anyone... he just made you angry because he stopped you..." The Dragon sneers in contempt. "I will enjoy reprogramming you into a can opener, Libra. Or perhaps a waste disposal unit. And you speak true, Libra... The greatest force is the heart that moves people to act..." The Dragon eyes glare upon Libra. "And you my dear... have no power to match it... You are the pawn, Libra... You are the pawn. And like a pawn... the most easily dispatched..."
General opens his eyes now, narrowed to mere slits as he stares at the Stardroid laughing her fool head off at them, "And what if you, yourself, are destroyed Libra? The universe hardly needs you. Though evil shall surely always exist, their existence be not necessary. If all you do is stay and mock us, then take your leave. I, for one, do not care to hear such words. Chaos shall be no more victorious in this than Duo or yourself shall be." His head raises up slightly, eyes widening to their normal state as he gauges her response, "A hyprocite has no right to speak of anything, for their words hold no meaning to those who hear it."
(Ch. E [None]) Quinton Reed transmits: 'Oooh, its /her/. Well, I just gotta show up now, huh?'.
(Ch. E [EnkerLine]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Likewise.'.
Ice Man turns to the new Robot Master and looks, "Toad Man! Good! Now where's backup?" he looks passed him at the door expecting more, stronger, and better smelling people to enter.....
(Ch. E [None]) Quinton Reed transmits: 'She piss you off too?'.
(Ch. E [None]) Mirage Hyena transmits: 'I think she pissed everyone off...'.
(Ch. E [EnkerLine]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Yeah.'.
The WilyDragon growls deeply in it's throat as it speaks in the voice of Wily... "And I... always have... the Last Laugh."
Libra coughs slightly as she finishes her laugh, a little bit of greenish fluid splattering on the back of her hand. "I am indeed, Father. As for my efforts to stop thine activities, the answer should be obvious. Would Bass have struck so had our actions not gathered his rage? Each act of mine to hinder your efforts has caused such anger to be directed against the rest." Libra's head inclines for a moment toward Iris. "Thank you, Martyr. A compliment most high from thee." She shrugs off Wily's blathering quite calmly, as well as General's comment about her (and Chaos') destruction and loss. "If you wish not mine assistance in saving thy world and destroying my fellows, I shall not provide it. For that was one of my two purposes for this arrival." Her body starts to glow, preparing her teleportation sequence. "The other... Mother - Miss Peterson. What I have said of you be true - doom stands within thy mind. But the destruction I seeked from you was but a ruse. Be well."
(Ch. E [None]) Quinton Reed transmits: '...Well, at least she gave me some press.'.
Heat Man clomps in out the back of the WilyDragon, his body appearing as a slowly fading reddish hue while the air around the fiery Master boils. Hobbling away from Wily's massive construct, the Zippo looks around with his usual sober eyes. We've got ourselves one group of winners here.
Quinton Reed stands upon a handy pile of debris, clad head to toe in blue armor. Crossing his arms, he narrows his good eye behind his faceplate, watching and listening to the Deceiver. See, we can make up fruity nicknames, too.
Slash Man hmmmms. He turns and leaps up into the bleachers that still stand with ease. He makes his way up to the roof and turns his attention back to the field.
Twila Peterson narrows her eyes dangerously towards the Zodiac. She's clearly tired of being toyed with.
(Ch. E []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Can't someone his her with something blunt, please...???'.
(Ch. E []) Byte transmits: 'How about using you as ammunition.'.
Chi seems to be in deep thought for a short time, absorbing Libra's words over the past several moments. Something in his line of thought must of angered him, because he no longer seems calm or detached, but more ready to strike out of anger. He readies the massive halberd, Masamune, but does not activate an energy flow to it. "Chess is overrated as something to make analogies to life with." He does not move to strike, but certainly seems ready to.
(Ch. E []) Twila Peterson transmits: '*snort* Wouldn't work. Softie, remember?'.
(Ch. E []) Byte transmits: 'I can dream, can I not?'.
(Ch. E []) Dr. Doppler transmits: 'Oh it would work, ineffective but we can still use you as ammunition.'
Michael Eildath runs into the stadium, still decked out in battlegear. Upon seeing Libra, he runs a little faster.
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'No one attack her... She... is mine.'. The Dragon throws it's head back... and LAUGHS!
"HmuHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!" The Dragon glares down at Libra with true mirth on his feature. "You? Actualy be of /help/?! HAH! That is the funniest thing I have ever heard! First you try and get me to cause my own death by killing Twila... then You try and move us like Puppets on a board... well Libra. The Pieces refuse to move to your game any more." The Dragon's gaze turns deadly... "The Pieces... refuse to move, Libra. I am threw with outside manipulation. I don't care /what/ you think you can offer... the Game... is Over." The Dragon pauses... The man within speaking out over the radio.
(Ch. E [None]) Seminole transmits: 'Anyone have any rotting fruit?'.
(Ch. E [None]) Quinton Reed transmits: 'Lesse...Blunt stuff? I got a nightstick. That's about all.'.
(Ch. E []) Byte transmits: 'As you /ordered/ Wily, I stand with Chi.'.
Quinton Reed stands at a nice, respectable distance, watching.
(Ch. E [Mavericks!!!!]) Iris transmits: 'Incoming transmission to the Stardroid.'.
Twila Peterson then quirks a brow. "You're still hurt from the battle with Eclipse aren't you?"
(Ch. E [None]) Mirage Hyena transmits: 'If we strike, we do it together. Everyone here wants a piece of her, and after we're all done with her, there'll be plenty of pieces to go around.'.
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: 'The doctor's will is recognized. All forces stand down until directed otherwise - His anger has waxed hot and, unlike the others, Libra has earned no right to function further. If she flees, I would advise not to pursue. There will be another time.'.
(Ch. E [Rep-Hunter]) Signal Shrike transmits: 'Simmer down, everyone. Don't you see she WANTS us to attack her?'.
(Ch. E [None]) Chi transmits: 'Understood and confirmed. Sir. I will stand down for now.'.
(Ch. B [Civilian-Freq]) Iris transmits: 'I'm waiting on another transmission to be sent to Libra, if its anything of use I'll let you know.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Mirage Hyena transmits: '*grumbling* Fine fine... but if she doesn't run, can we kick her butt then?'.
Twila Peterson does force herself to calm down slightly...although she still bears a heated glare towards the Stardroid's direction...
Chi still seems angry, but lowers the tip of his Masamune to the ground, no longer poised to attack. His look at Libra seems to radiate with 'Be glad the General ordered me to stand down', but he says nothing directly.
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: 'Unless she stands to retaliate, negative. We shall not move to waste time that we do not have, nor resources that we need. As a whole, our anger may be kindled against Libra, but there is no purpose to it.'.
You send a tightbeam radio transmission to Libra: "A bit suicidal for you to come here in your condition I would think.""
Michael Eildath keeps running, trying to get to Twila, at least.
Signal Shrike gives Twila a sidelong glance, wondering.
Mirage Hyena grumbles a bit and kicks the dirt at her feet, then actually HOPES the Stardroid loses her cool soon so they have every right in the world to kick butt.
Toad Man shakes his head at Ice Man, and chuckles at how pissed the little nanook of the north is, he pushes Ice Man hoping to knock him down, and keeps going.
Heat Man glances at Libra, then at the rest of the people, then shrugs to himself. He really doesn't give a flying f' and is only here 'cuz Wily his here and he's a Robot Master and its what Robot Masters do. They stand around and make Wily look cool. And Heat does his job to the T, except for the fact that he really ain't that cool, and his goofy aft eyes actually make him look sort of stupid. But then, you can blame Wily for that soo..
Ice Man is shoved and falls down on his face. He stands up and get's angry! He makes a snowball(No, i'm not gonna use my Snowball attack. Just a lil' RP.) and throws it at Toad Man.
Libra simply smiles. It's wonderful to see all this *nice* emotion on her account. It's touching, really. Body glowing in preparation to teleport, she laughs as everybody and their cousin tries to talk tough to her. Ice cold calm, even in what, in her already wounded condition, is terribly dangerous. "Then I take my leave of all of you. Good luck defeating mine compatriots - and I do mean that from within my heart." This is it, folks. If you *want* to try for her, better go now, 'cause she is very much outta here in two or three seconds.
You send a tightbeam radio transmission to Libra: "Nice lil morale booster."
Toad Man grunts, and looks seeing the situation he rolls his eyes and see opportunity for fun as he prepares to set a new record for people he has hit with the rain flush....
Signal Shrike just turns on his shield, standing between Libra and Twila. Ice Man looks at Toad and gulps and dashes under a chair. "NOW TOAD MAN! Rain Flush!"
The Dragon lets out a low, gut wrenching ROAR as Libra moves to depart... he is tied of her... her games... everything. He has had more then enough of this Stardroid interfering in the course of their world. The one who /caused/ their world to be Judged in the first place. The one who set the start of Imbalance in their world... It is time for her to PAY! The head moves back... mouth agape... red light building in it... anyone close to Libra better duck. The Dragon breathes fire...
Twila Peterson remains close by Shrike, and is grateful for the shield feeling herself calm down a little bit more now. Sooner or later, Libra will be weighed by her own deeds and will be judged accordingly. Of that she's certain.
Michael Eildath pulls up his Incinerator Rifle, despite the fact that the the pilot light isn't on. His gun has a /secondary/ function... and Michael intends to use it. "You threatened my friend for how long? I've had about enough of it." He takes a split second aim, and fires.
You whisper 'She was suicidal for coming here. Wonder if she wanted this to happen...' to Signal Shrike.
Toad Man starts dancing like a fool, his big fat belly going left with his feet going right, he snickers as this is prime zone for some major acid erosion, he laughs maniacally as the missile goes up
General simply stands resolute as several of the attacks fly, doing absolutely /nothing/ as he watches the action take place. He made his point and he, as the acting commander of the Repliforce, shall stand upon his word, though he may despise the being before them.
Signal Shrike whispers: 'I wonder if she's somehow feeding off of all this.. restoring herself.'.
Oh no! The Stardroid is about to escape! *GASP!* For shame! Oh, the humanity! What're we gunna do? What're we gunna do? Where's Guts Man when you need him? All we've got here is an oversized Lighter, but no fear for he is the being with the heat! That's right, HEAT MAN to the rescue! <Cue the heroic music.> Noting that this seems the time Dr. Wily would want one and all to lay their deadliest and most devastating upon the nearly-almost-leaving Stardroid, Heat Man's body flares to light in a billowing explosion of flaring heat. How's that for special effects? CGI muthaf'a, CGI. That's right, he's preparing his most devastatingly dangerous...Most powerful, most awesome assault for your eyes only. You've seen it in Mega Man 2, and now you get to see it in real life. ATOMIC FIRE!!!
Standing as little more than a charging pillar of flame, Heat Man thrusts his palms violently outward toward the almost-nearly-leaving Stardroid, a massive ball of flame rolling toward her. ~Can you feel the Heat down in your soul..?~ Armored Armadillo reacts for once... even if the Wily Dragon's attempt to bake Libra failed, she can't resist the almost sadistic smile that crosses her face. Yep, she, too, would like to see the stardroid get what's coming to their whole damn breed.
Mirage Hyena looks left and right, then supposes her attack would go unnoticed in all the chaos, IF done correctly. Fortunately for one that can create holograms, she can make her attack look like it was coming from a completely different direction, and conveniently fights a solid light ball at Libra amidst all the chaos. Just seconds before the Rain Flush strikes.
Signal Shrike blinks at Twila, flinching as the Rain Flush cascades across his forcefield.
Dr. Doppler takes out a medical scanner and scans Libra. Quinton Reed grins behind his facemask, arms still crossed. From the box on his back, a chaingun emerges, but it appears to have been modified for energy ammunition. Whizzing to life, lances of energy come flying out at Libra in quick order. Speaker coming on, his speaker hisses, "Seeya later, Ms. Ex-UN-Advisor. The Security Council sends its regards."
Twila Peterson glances about the field...again glad it remains in place before she sends a message.
Dr. Doppler looks around, seems everybody is throwing stuff. Bah, he might as well. He searches his pocket for something to throw and finds and finds an old chemical beaker. Before she disappears he makes a pathetic throw at the Stardroid with the piece of lab equipment.
You send a tightbeam radio transmission to General: "General, each of the Stardroids represent something within each of us. Libra came here hurt. She may be feeding off of hatred."
General looks up a little as the acid rain bathes over his form. Yet, he says nothing, as the damage is 'hardly' able to be noticed upon his frame. A pft of smoke or two rises, but that is all. In truth, it was almost as if he didn't strike him in the first place. A heaved sigh rumbles his frame, however, and he calmly transmits something over the radio.
Guts Man blinks at Libra, thinking of getting away does she? Not bloody likely! Guts Man retrieves his boulder from under his hat, then shouts, "Hey babe, remember me? I'm the one that sent you crying home like a little girl after smushing you with my rocks. Heheheheh. This is yer Waterloo! You ain't going nowhere! You go squish now!!!" Hey he knows that she was hurting from his previous Super Arm, he's gonna use it again! Guts Man shouts, "Super Arm attack!!!!!" As anime lines appear behind him and the camera starts to zoom up close and spinning around him until the camera focuses on his boulder, which is thrown directly at the Libra. Come on, hit twice! He's head of the Libra Termination Squad!
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: 'Toad Man....Next time, perhaps a less extravagant attack would be more valuable to our cause.'.
General sends you a tightbeam radio transmission: "That is highly probable, Ms. Peterson, all things considered."
Libra disappears.
Signal Shrike drops his shield, crossing his arms. "Well -that- was effective."
(Ch. E []) Blizzard Man transmits: 'What's going on?'.
Mirage Hyena looks up at where Libra was with an audible smirk on her face, then realizes that her armor is melt, "YEOW! Hot hot hot! Learn how to aim that thing, will ya?!"
Iris peeks up from her hideyspot. "Is it over? Man, Zero's gonna hate that he missed this..."
The Dragon lets out another ROAR as Libra vanishes! The giant Boulder slamming for a /second/ time on Libra was /worth seeing!/ He lets out a mad cackle! "HmuHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Twila Peterson lets out a measured breath. "Oh, bother..." she states, facepalming. "That went well..."
WilyDragon <Dragon> says, "Libra! You failed! You are finished!"
Ice Man turns to Toad Man and walks over to him. He looks down and kicks Toad Man, "YOU IDIOT!" and keeps kicking him...
Michael Eildath swears, very loudly, and tosses his gun to the ground. Plant Man arrives at the Stadium...and skids to a stop, just /staring/ at all the mayhem. "Just /what's/ going ON?!?"
Signal Shrike whispers: 'THIS is why we're losing.'.
Guts Man shakes his fist, "Come back you coward! Guts Man is not done with you!!! SMUSHIFY!!!!!!!!" He starts to jump up and down in anger that the little witch got away!!! "RAAAAARGH!!!!"
Twila Peterson seems a little more disturbed at something else however and folds her arms over her chest. She offers Shrike a nod. "Exactly...and she's trying to instigate it even more! At every turn she tosses another spanner into to works."
Quinton Reed grumbles to himself and shuffles off. His work here is done.
Mirage Hyena sizzles slightly and grumbles a bit as the acid finishes it's job on her armor, "Dumb frog and his stupid rain..."
(Ch. E []) Sigma transmits: 'Report.'.
Rock walks over from where he teleported in, over to Twila, and puts a hand on her shoulder. "What happened here?"
(Ch. E [Mavericks!!!!]) Iris transmits: 'Sigma!'.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'That's what I'd like to know.'.
Toad Man is getting gang beaten while passed out behind a chair.
Plant Man shakes his head, seeing that whatever was going on is done. "What a /mess/." He murmurs.
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: 'Libra visited us and finally managed to bring some of our forces to violence.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Heat Man transmits: 'Well, it would seem to me that the Stardroid got away. I could be wrong though. But I don't see her here now.'.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'Joy. :/'.
(Ch. E [None]) Plant Man transmits: ' . . . judging by the look of this place, counterattacking was less than successful?'.
(Ch. E [Rep-Hunter]) Signal Shrike transmits: 'She played everyone like a violin, if you want the truth.'.
(Ch. E [Mavericks!!!!]) Iris transmits: 'Something about the Stardroids we've destroyed being the Stardroids of Order and leaving behind the ones of chaos...or something.'.
(Ch. E []) Blizzard Man transmits: 'Hrm...I wonder...*tapity*...'.
(Ch. E [None]) Mirage Hyena transmits: 'Libra appearently WANTED her comrades destroyed...'.
(Ch. E [EnkerLine]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Suuuure she did.'.
(Ch. E [Mavericks!!!!]) Iris transmits: 'She's playing us like puppets. Grr.'.
Twila Peterson emits a yelp, not having expecting a certain someone so soon, although she's grateful for his presence just the same. Instead of answering him right away she gazes at him with an unmasked sadness and hugs him tightly...crowd or no crowd. "Libra was just here..." she gets out before lowering her voice.
(Ch. E []) Guts Man transmits: 'And I squashed her good!!! TOo bad you were nowhere to be seen you little blue runt!'.
(Ch. E [None]) Needle Man transmits: 'I doubt it.'.
You whisper 'Rock, when you get the chance, we need to talk. It's about one of the keys...' to Rock.
(Ch. E [None]) Needle Man transmits: 'She is obviously trying to confuse us. We should disregard her mindless ramblings.'.
Rock frowns a little, nodding. "So I noticed." He looks about.
Plant Man 's mouth twitches as he finally catches sight of Twila...just as she hugs Rock. He shakes his head, and shrugs, looking a bit sour.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'Uhm. I was kinda busy in China, stopping some anti-Reploid demonstrations.'.
(Ch. E [Mavericks!!!!]) Iris transmits: 'Is that where Zero is too?'.
As all of the commotion occurs, the ground heaves beneath the steps of General as he approaches the Dragon, "Calm yourself, Doctor. As said, there will be another time. She shall surely return." He sweeps his gaze over the remainder of the forces now, optics occasionally glancing over the swiftly repairing damage caused by Toad Man's little show. "What matters now, Doctor, is what we shall do now." Ahh, and at that time, Rock arrives. The General regards him with a slow nod and tip of his military cap, "Greetings to you, Hunter Commander."
Rock returns Twila's hug with a smile, and a kiss on the forehead. "Was anyone hurt?"
(Ch. E []) Guts Man transmits: 'Alot of help you are.'.
(Ch. E [Hunter/Repliforce]) Roll transmits: 'Cut Rock some slack, folks. One crisis at a time, if you will..'.
(Ch. E [Hunter/Repliforce]) Roll transmits: 'Guts Man, if you don't have something nice or productive to say, then kindly *and very very sweetly said* shut up.'.
Anthem blinks at everything. "What the *Heck*...." Burner Man looks around the Stadium, his eyes wild with excitement as he sees so man gathered here. "Ooooooooh... please let there be someone left for me to blow up puh-leeeeez!" He snickers to himself and then flets out a slight burp.
Mirage Hyena looks up at Rock and frumps, "Almost everyone cause of that dumb Master Frog."
Twila Peterson shakes her head gently. "I...don't...think so. At least, not in the way you would think..." she gets out.
The Dragon STOMPED Toad man without using the combat system... The head turns to General. "You... are right..." Wily turns his gaze to the Blue Dweeb. "Greetings Mega Man."
(Ch. E []) Guts Man transmits: 'You shut up, and get me an energy tank! I'm hungry!'.
Rock looks up, nodding at General. "Zero's batting cleanup in China." He gives the gathered a nod. "Which is good."
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: 'I have experienced similar things within New York, and chaos within our ranks. Your situation is quite understood, Hunter Commander.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'Feh... irritating Stardroid...'.
(Ch. E []) Blizzard Man transmits: 'Guts Man, kindly shut up.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Plant Man transmits: 'Guts, just shut UP.'.
(Ch. E []) Guts Man transmits: 'Don't talk to Guts Man, Stardroid Destroyer like that!'.
The Dragon slowly moves to the side... walking back down the in field... leting out a deep sigh before laying down... the side hatch opening slowly then... The Mad Doctor steping out.
(Ch. E [None]) Heat Man transmits: 'No, I believe it is you who should be shutting up. Guts Man was here and made an effort to detain the Stardroid. What were you two doing? Playing with your dolls again?'.
Signal Shrike rolls his optics at the Masters and mumbles, "Meanwhile.. the earth is destroyed while they bicker over energy tanks."
Twila Peterson slowly releases Rock from the embrace, but remains close by him regardless and takes his hand, giving it a squeeze.
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: 'Robot Masters, you are to be /silent/. These meaningless insults merely waste precious time that we do not have.'.
(Ch. E []) Blizzard Man transmits: 'And I have been busy attempting to reason out and find ways to undermine the Stardroids, as per my orders.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Heat Man transmits: 'I was not speaking to you, Maverick Hunter daughter of the fat scientist with white hair.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'Be silent, children. NOW!'.
(Ch. B [RepComm]) Signal Shrike transmits: 'I'm going to run the readings I got of the Stardroid transmission through the Hunter computer. If anyone needs me, just radio.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Needle Man transmits: 'Well, you must admit, he is rather overwei...I am sorry, Father.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Heat Man transmits: 'Understood, doctor.'.
(Ch. E [Mavericks!!!!]) Iris transmits: '*sigh* What do we know about Luna?'.
(Ch. E [None]) Mirage Hyena transmits: 'Thank you Doc.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'That is better...'.
(Ch. B [Old-Hunters]) Roll transmits: 'When this is over, remind me to -HIT- some Robot Master jerks.. HARD!'.
(Ch. E []) Sigma transmits: 'Do you require assistance, Rock?'.
(Ch. B [RepComm]) Signal Shrike transmits: 'I'll hold them for you.'.
(Ch. B [Old-Hunters]) Roll transmits: '*mild grumbling* Thanks.'.
A dribble of drool rolls down the side of Burner Man's mouth as he looks up at the Wily Dragon. "Doc?! Where's the par-tee!?"
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'No, we're fine here for the moment.'.
General slowly closes his eyes as a hand raises to brush his face. He keeps it there, bowing his head while his eyes are covered. He almost seems to be in pain, or perhaps praying. One cannot tell with a being this size. "Doctor Wily," rumbles the Repliforce Commander as he moves his hand away and to his side, "The alliance cannot hold as tension rises to this degree. I can only pray that we are able to act and act soon to liberate our world, lest we all turn on one another in blind rage."
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'She was the sister to Eclipse... She killed her brother because of Libra's lies...'.
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'Libra was the one who started the whole chain of events that /began/ this!'.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'Hold up. WHO is this?'.
Burner Man grabs at his crotch as if he has to wet himself, he pinches. "AWwooohhh man! I can't wait any longer... isn't there anything here I can destroy?" His head whips back and forth, "How bout that Hunter over there or somethin. He's kinda puney?" He claps his hands together. "Puh-leez?!"
Rock returns Twila's hand squeeze, hmming softly. All these people, too loud and too confusing. Regarding General and his statement, he nods. "You have a point."
Twila Peterson points out, "Wait...*that's* what Libra wants...why she was just here."
The Mad Doctor turns his gaze up to General... "I... understand General. I simply hate Libra... she is the cause of all of this..." Wily slowly... sighs... visibly calming. "As you wish, General. As you wish..." Wily looks about to everyone. "Calm everyone! We may have lost her this time... but we still have much to do." Wily then glares at Burner... "Calm down! You will be able to destroy a Stardroid soon... now... Go sit down over there!" Wily points to the still whole side of the Stadium.
Rock ahems. "Excuse me. But who is this Luna character you were asking about?"
Mirage Hyena ahems and speaks over all the noise, getting back down to business, "Alright! If anyone needs minor repairs, come over here and I'll patch you up!"
Dr. Wily turns his gaze to Rock. "Luna is the one who killed Eclipse by Libra's treachery. Libra has been instigating this whole thing from the first... she /and/ her Master."
Twila Peterson bites her lip, "The one who arrived on Saturday...the Historian as well as the Huntress of the Stardroids."
Twila Peterson turns belatedly towards Wily, "It's not all her fault. She may have started it...but we kept it going.' Twila Peterson .oO(Like some Shakespearean play...but does everyone die or everyone get married?)Oo.
Iris bets they get married and THEN die. "There's got to be an easier way to keep track of information rather than just asking all the time."
Heat Man looks at the destruction caused in the wake of the Stardroids depart and scratches his chin thoughtfully. Wow, that's a lot of damage. And these Stardroids think we're not hot @#$&? Pah. If we can do all this, that has to say something for Earth. And Guts Man, man, can that Guts Man wallop or what? Heat Man -knows- from personal experience that that wallop sure hurts like a f'er. He remembers when Guts Man smacked him so hard he leaked coolant for weaks. It wasn't pretty. Even in simulated combat. So Libra has to be in pain! Wonder what she'll tell her sissy Stardroid friends about when she gets back to her cardboard box in space? Who knows, probably stupid Stardroid talk. Though it might be better then all this crap with the humans down here. And another thing, what's with all these humans down here anyway? Don't they realize that they're gunna get hurt? I'm surprised their not already dead by now. Especially these non UN people that keep walking in ordering people around like they're hot sh*t. Heck, if they keep standing around Heat Man like this, they'll probably develop cancer or something. We know what happened to Wily while he was building heat. That's right, he lost all his fool hair. That funny old Mad Scientist guy. Hee hee. Ah well. Heat Man scratches his chin again. Oh yeah, I gotta make sure to remind doc to check me for glaucoma...
Dr. Wily looks to his... ick... Counterpart... his eyes narrowing... then he slowly nods. "I see your point... but she still will pay for what she did in the end..." Wily lets out a sigh. "For now... It doesn't matter... what is important is finding the keys... we let her distract us..."
Rock nods a little at both responses. "I see..." he says. He doesn't really see, but he's not in the mood for a headache. If he could read minds, he'd probably concur with Twila, equating this to some fubar'ed Midsummernight's Dream, where the Stardroids represent Puck and Oberon, playing with Titania and other mortals.
(Ch. B [Old-Hunters]) Roll transmits: 'Rock, did Swing tell you about our 'visit' earlier?'.
(Ch. B [Dragonfire]) Rock transmits: 'What visit?'.
(Ch. B [Old-Hunters]) Roll transmits: 'King's visit.'.
(Ch. B [Dragonfire]) Rock transmits: 'I see...no, he didn't. I have been to Switzerland, Australia, Austria and China today, in the span of like, 6 hours.'.
Mirage Hyena walks over to General and looks up at him, "So... um... General. You need a minor fix? Toad Man's attack wasn't exactly the best for the skin ya know..."
Roll makes her way through the ruins of the stadium, carrying the medical and recovery kits.
Anthem taps Twila on the shoulder. The cop looks a little worse for wear, following that little rainshower. "Miss Peterson? Do you think that Stardroid was telling the truth? That she's not going to try and kill you anymore?"
(Ch. B [Old-Hunters]) Roll transmits: 'I know, I know, brother. You aren't the only busy one.. anyway, complaining aside, when Wily found out that we had a key, he sent King and his goon squad in an attempt to secure it. Swing got rid of 'em, but it's obvious that Wily's going for the key sweep.'.
(Ch. B [Civilian-Freq]) Iris transmits: 'Why woudln't he? He's admitted he's still as treacherous now as he was, why not gather all the power of the world into his own hands, and control it even in this crisis?'.
Twila Peterson cups moves to cup Rock's hand again, offering it another squeeze, before dropping one of her hands to the side. The other remains holding his however. She turns towards the approaching Anthem and shakes her head. "I don't know. It's hard to know what to believe from her."
General quietly turns from the gathering as they all begin to speak, the ground trembling as he slowly, wearily makes his way toward the opposing side of the stadium. His head bows as he walks, not saying a word in reply to Mirage's offer. It's not that he wishes to be impolite, it's just that he probably didn't hear her. His thoughts are dominating him now, even as he settles beside the ruined bleachers with folding arms. His visage tilts up, eyes bearing witness to both the sky and the light which outshines even the sun. His optics are filled with worry and concern for the planet that he was built to guard, secure and protect with every fiber of his being. Yet, even now, it stands upon the brink of destruction.
He's silent, now. Disturbingly silent.
(Ch. B [Dragonfire]) Rock transmits: 'Oh boy. This isn't goign to be fun. I'll need to discuss the keys with Wily and General, to decide who should have them for safekeeping.'.
(Ch. B [Old-Hunters]) Roll transmits: 'A suggestion?'.
Rock gives Twila's hand a squeeze, letting out a soft sigh as his attention is pulled like silly putty.
(Ch. B [Dragonfire]) Rock transmits: 'Yeah, Sis?'.
(Ch. B [Old-Hunters]) Roll transmits: 'Eight keys.. four factions. Two keys to a group, stored with individuals so that no one knows for sure whom has what keys for certain.'.
(Ch. B [Dragonfire]) Rock transmits: '*hmms* Might consider that.'.
Mirage Hyena follows General with her eyes and blinks, then slumps over, "Right... I take that as a no..." She scratches her head and sits down, then begins petting a holographic hyena that just appeared beside her.
The Mad Doctor follows the path of the General with his eyes... He to lets out a sigh as he flips his hand... his cane appearing from no where in particular... he spins it and leans on it only semi-jauntily... his hand slowly moving up to stroke his prominent chin. "The question is... what was she distracting us from?"
<Global News Network> A Russian newsreporter comes onscreen, furred hat, bottle of vodka sitting on the desk and all. "NEws straight from Mother Russian, in da depths of da Sibrian wastelands. Wery top secret hush hush nuclear waste dumping project vas intterupted few minutes ago by ugly feline Stardroid. Glorious Russian military try to chase way menace, but evil kitty no go!" A insert screen comes up, showing the Stardroid now known well as Pluto as he simply slices through a large tank like it was butter. "Evil kitty say he gonna use secret nuclear dump to blow up all of Asia for Doomsday! Stardroid playing in nuclear vaste bad thing. Great Motherland go boom if not stopped!" Suddenly the screen flickers out a moment into static, then comes back, a very vicious closeup on Pluto's face. Someone commanderred the camera that was showing off his work, it seems. "Pray for your salvation from whatever diety your worship on this dirtball, earthlings, because Doomsday is upon you. There's enough nuclear power here to blow up this entire continent if set off at once. Nice, big boom, lots of death, maybe a little fallout, nuclear winter. Nothing compared to what Sunstar shall do to you all later, but I'm getting impatient. So kiss Asian goodbye!" And the transmission is cut completely.'.
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: '...He moves...'.
Anthem nods to Twila. "Can always hope." With a smirk, she actually salutes Rock. "If not... you're a better choice to keep her safe than I."
Roll drops down next to the other Hunters, and takes a seat, taking inventory of her supplies. "..well, this is going to be fun.." she pauses at the news broadcast. "...oh.. dear."
Twila Peterson trails General's form as he makes his way across the stadium and lets out a sigh as she watches. She bites her lower and slightly trembles. It's then than the news report comes flodding in on a makeshift monitoring station.
(Ch. E [EnkerLine]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'I'm enroute. Rock, permission to use the Albatross 2?'.
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'Pluto...'.
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: '...REPLIFORCE...! Mobilize! We cannot allow this to happen. There are too many innocent lives present in those countries.'.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'Granted.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Mirage Hyena transmits: 'I'm coming too! We missed one Stardroid today, we won't miss another one!'.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'Oh, yay. Fun. Someone at Hunter HQ grab Rush. I'm going.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Needle Man transmits: 'I'm scrambling.'.
Rock leans down to give Twila a kiss. "I suppose I'll go help obtain Pluto's key."
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'General, Rock, Sigma... Let us four show this Stardroid the true meaning of Oblivion...'.
(Ch. E [Mavericks!!!!]) Iris transmits: 'I'm going to fire up Vanguard and go evac some civilians.'.
Roll says, "You're not going along, Rock.." she stands up, dusting herself off. "You're going to need a field medic out there."
Twila Peterson offers, "What about two?"
(Ch. E []) Slash Man transmits: 'Do you want me to come, Doc?'.
Mirage Hyena dispells her hologram as the broadcast airs, then quickly runs over to where she left all her medical supplies the other day and slings it around her shoulder, "Let's go!"
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: 'Such is appreciated, Iris, if we do not arrive in time.'.
Rock looks at Roll, but... sighs softly. "Alright, Sis. You can go, but stay back from the fighting.
The Dragon springs to life, letting out a roar. "Robot Masters! To me!"
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: '*snort* That's a bit of overkill. Wily, can I bum a ride on the Dragon?'.
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'Get on the scene... Slash Man.'.
Roll nods. "I'll watch myself, bro, but you watch yourself, as well."
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'But of course....'.
Rock nods at Roll. "I will."
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: 'Go on without me, forces of the alliance. I will be along as quickly as I can.'.
Twila Peterson tungs on his arm, repeating, "May need a second medic." The Dragon turns it's head to rock... lowering down to just before him. "Leap on..."
(Ch. E [None]) Enforcer Malamute transmits: 'Pluto...I am comming along as well'.
Rock glances across at Twila, with a slight frown, but nods his assent. "Alright. Just... be careful. I'd hate for anything to happen to you." And he takes a moment to lift Twila into his arms, and give a leap up toward the Wilydragon's entry hatch.
Roll smiles. "After all, you still owe me lunch." She looks to Twila. "...it's too dangerous.." Oh goodness, she sounds like Rock when he used to tell her the same things. Gah! Yuck! Get out of there common sense!
Roll looks out the hatch, and yells, "Tango! Come on!" Tango, sitting behind some rubble, mrowls, and scrambles up into the vehicle.
The Dragon lets out a ROAR as everyone leaps artride it's back... Wily... Deep within it's belly... eyes closed... a helm apon his head... controls the dragon's every move as it leaps into the air.
(Ch. E []) Sigma transmits: 'All the reploids on Asia. No...all Maverick forces mobilize for immediate assault. Employ our new Battle Drones to their FULL capacity.'.
(Ch. E []) Blizzard Man transmits: 'I would very much like to have a living specimen of the Stardroids.'.
Twila Peterson mentions with a sigh, as well as a squeeze of the hand, "Rock...something you need to know. Pluto represents death. Mercury told of him. He said to know death one must become death. To defeat death is to overcome death."
(Ch. E [None]) Needle Man transmits: 'No. Pluto fights upfront. Eye to eye, like Death itself. Before we fire, everyone, form a large circle around him. Stay spread out. He fights close-ranged, so we must force him to close on one foe at a time, while pummeling him with a ranged assault.'.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'That was what I was going to do first. But DON'T ATTACK Pluto until I've spoken to him.'.
Rock blinks at Twila, frowning lightly. "I... see..." Maybe we'll have to kill him.
Wily speaks then... "We must only kill him... He forfeited his right. Destroy him, Rock."
Twila Peterson gives Rock a quick kiss, looking worried. "Godspeed..."
(Ch. E []) Sigma transmits: 'I won't watch Asia become a land of ghosts while you try and reason with that monster, Rock. All Mavericks spread out and open fire. Try and maximize the use of your ranged weapons. I want this alien ground into oblivion.'.
Roll would make a yuck face, if she had time to consider it. Instead, she simply sits and waits for the deployment order, almost grimly, Tango sitting boredly at her feet.
Rock returns Twila's kiss, "I'll be safe. Same to you, Twila." And he leaps out of the Wilydragon's hatch, armor phasing into X-mode.
<Outside...soon after the deployment order had been given...>
Siberia From the early 21st century and before, Siberia was long considered one of the least habitable places on the Earth's surface. With below freezing temperatures and an incredibly rugged terrain, the majority of the vast resources of the area were left untapped during those times due to the limited technology of that time. Indeed, habitation was limited to a mere handful of mining stations and military outposts, which themselves were abandoned soon after the fall of the Soviet Union. All this has changed in current times. While huge tracts of land have been preserved the way they were in the times past, now sprawling metropolises dot the area. These cities are ringed by fields of solar panels thousands of yards deep that provide more than enough energy to make Siberia a perfectly habitable place. In fact, there are actually good sized temperate forest parks scattered throught the cities. Near the southeastern corner of Siberia, several cities have merged into a true MegaCity, the main habitation of the area, called Gar Sansky.
Chaos, destruction, ruin: the three things that have quickly become known to follow in whatever wake of evil Pluto rakes across the planet's surface are more than present across the frozen wastelands of Siberia. Russian tanks lie in ruin, torn in pieces by powerful claws, other vehicles lying in heaps of parts, a new layer of frost quickly settling upon them. Trails of thick smoke curl into the frigid sky, forming a dark black shroud hanging over the area.
And in middle of it all stands Pluto, idly tearing a hole in the back of a transport truck with his claws like he was opening a can of beans, and with a gurgle a sickly looking sludge starts pouring out and into a hole, quickly covering the various chunks of weapons-grade plutonium and barrels of toxic waste in the bottom. "Ah nothing like the smell of brwing destruction. This will show those foolish enough to resist how easily their damnation shall come...."
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: 'ENOUGH! Rock, give your words and give them quick ... If he moves to instigate his plan, then stop him. I will arrive as soon as I can. I gave my sworn word about how this will be handled. Listen to me or not, I have tried.'.
Appearing on the nose of the Wilydragon is X, wind blowing over his form as he perches there. Listening to the comchatter he sighs softly, his X-Buster sliding out to encompass his left arm. And he leaps from the dragon, landing on the suddenly appearing Rush Jet, flying down toward Pluto.
"Pluto! We demand your immediate surrender of your key! Surrender it peacefully, or we will be forced to destroy you!" Rock yells to the Stardroid as he descends, his buster glowing as he begins to charge.
Appearing as little more than, well, nothing as he stalks toward the Stardroid known as Pluto, Thanatos feels an almost electrical sensation pulsating through his body. A sensation the Assassin has not felt for many long years. Expectation. News reports has deigned Pluto as a pure representation of death to the Stardroids, a sort of death incarnate. Thanatos wishes to test this theory. For years the Maverick has plied himself as a top in his class, believing he holds no equals. And this being arrives from space, of all places, and thus pilfers the reputation the darkly clad reploid worked so hard to build. Thanatos does not tolerate this. Striding onward with a determined scowl, the Maverick deactivates his radio unit. He will not need such distractions. The assassin phases slowly into view, stepping from nothingness.
[Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'I've given my words. Waiting on his response.'.
The dragon's roar is enough to get the Snowkitty of Doom's attention, and he glances back over his shoulder at the amassing hordes. Gee, you'd think he was trying to destroy the world -- Oh wait, he is! Senses enhanced beyond anything upon Earth easily pick out the holograms and stealthed individuals, but he ignores them to lock his attention on Rock. "Well now, if it isn't the Chosen One himself. I must give you credit, even in the gaping maw of destruction looming over this world, you fight on to preserve it. Too bad it's all in naught."
(Ch. E [None]) Needle Man transmits: 'Aerial units, fly above him, and pepper him with fire from above.'.
"Then let the battle be joined. ATTACK!" Rock calls, since Pluto has just said that he won't give the key willingly. Leaping from Rush's form, he lands in the snow a decent distance from Pluto, body pulsing with green and then white energy.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'Ground units, careful with your fire. Twila, Roll, stay back away from the firefight, evacing patients when needed.'.
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: 'What of it, Rock? ...What did he say?'.
The Maw of the Dragon slowly opens... red light and smoke begining to pour from it... the Dragon too is charging his weapon... and due to also the little nuclear reactor that is Heat Man on board.... This could be large. He simply watches... biding his time to be able to get Pluto in a clean shot for his most powerful assault.
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'He denied surrender...'.
(Ch. E [Mavericks!!!!]) Iris transmits: 'I could fight in Vanguard, Rock, but I would rather not. I'll help protect Roll and Twila if need be.'.
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: '*deep sigh* Iris, continue to do so...Any other Repliforce members on scene, attack. I am on my way.'.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'Iris, stay back and help Roll and Twila evac. General, he denied surrender.'.
Blizzard Man stares at the situation..."If that is what must be, then that is what must be..." He sighs, "To overcome supreme death, we must destroy Death himself...Far too cliche for my tastes, but still..." He sighs and starts flinging his shrieks. "I am sorry to do this my brother in cold..." he whispers.
Repliforce Ride Armor <Vanguard> does some stuff and locates Twila and Roll: the ruide armor heads toward that direction to offer support.
Enforcer Malamute leaps from the WilyDragon as it passes low, his trenchcoat fluttering behind him as he falls. He lands on the ground, going to a crouch, and then strips off the trenchcoat, leaving himself in full armor. He stands up, his arm changing into the Enforcer Cannon, "I will not fail this time..." He says, turning towards the Stardroid. He brings the cannon up, and lets fly a burst of uncharged energy
Maverick Hunter Ride Armor <Albatross II> flies in overhead, lasers moving aside and charging as lights emerge from the armor's center. Mike smiles. .oO(Let's see you act when you can't even see, hell kitty.)Oo. Suddenly, the lights begin pulsing in a bright, disorienting display.
Rock braces himself, the charge of his buster steaming the air. "We warned you. ALL FORCES, OPEN FIRE!" And he himself lets out a cry. "X-BUSTER!" And the hellish blast of blue-white energy washes out at the Stardroid, steaming the air.
Guts Man yawns and shrugs, picking up pieces of debris, idly chucking them at Pluto as he slowly makes his way towards him. He's not gonna stay behind the lines for very long. That's just not his way.
Lightning Gryphon lets out a chuckle-squawk as more clouds pool around her, lightning raining down on her form, illuminating her with the almost white flashes of power. "Let's see how this one works..." She pulls her front legs to her chest then pushes outwards, sending a rain of lightning down on the Stardroid.
Slash Man leaps down near Pluto from the top of a building. "Hey, Pussy Cat! I'm back for-for the rest of your tail!" He growls and leaps at Pluto, attempting to land on him with force.
The Dragon continues to circle... not yet able to attack... the eyes narrowing as they glow a bright red...
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'I'm going to be using some of the weapons I've acquired. So noone be in the way. If I can hit.'.
(Ch. E []) Slash Man transmits: 'I can-can take care of myself, Needle Man!'.
Roll hmms, not seeing anything going to help the Vanguard land in the darkened area, and so she reaches for her searchlamp, and raises it up, lancing it to full power. Little does she know as she does this, the beam is pointed straight at Pluto. The full powered beam lances out in an attempt to blind the Stardroid.
*Ka-SHINK* Pluto's claws snap out with the familiar clank, in time to deflect the various bladed flakes and bits of debris tossed in his direction, and then bolts backwards as Rock's Buster blast and other gun shots pummel the snow where he had stood. "Nice try, but not enough Cho--Urph!" Needle Man's spray catchs him from the backside as he's slowly pinned in. Growling, he plucks the needles out, and tosses them aside. "Well, fine, if we're going to play this way..."
The battle begins, in the midst of Siberia. One of the coldest places on the planet. Yet, as Pluto's frigid gaze settles down upon the masses, the temperature seems to drop even more. Is it even possible for it to get colder? Any thermometer you look at would say so. "If you all wish to met your fate so soon, so be it." It is definately getting colder, and it seems to be radiating around the Stadroid himself, cold, icy fingers of death reaching out from his position and spreading out around him.
"Prepare to freeze in Hell, mortals!"
Roll blinks as the frost storm ravishes the area, and she sees the first causality of the battle as Enforcer drops like a rock in the severe cold. "...looks like business is starting early this time. Tango, stay here and watch Twila.. I'm going to go out and get him."
Quite thankfully Twila was able to suit up within one of the warmer suits borrowed from the Dragon's storage before she left it's hull. Otherwise...she'd be a frozen popcicle right now. May have been cute seeing the icicles forming on her bangs and the tip of her nose. But I doubt Rock or some others would think much of the new look. As it is she glances behind her and braces herself. Even though she's out of the combat zone it doesn't mean she wouldn't feel and sudden gusts. She stumbles and fails to completely catch herself. Thus she falls...and stays down until the sudden storm slows to cease...
The Dragon lets out a ROAR as it soars high up into the air... avoiding the deadly cold... it's head turns down to Pluto with a glare of total animosity... Time for this Cat to FRY... The twin beams of energy that erupt from the eyes of the Dragon streak though the air to converge upon the location of the Snowkitty... "Rot in your Frozen Hell, Pluto!!" The Mad Doctor's voice cackles out as well as a two mad, deep, rumbling cackle from the Dragon and Doctor combined.
Needle Man's red gem on his chest glows bright white as steam hisses from his chest vents. Even as frost and ice coats his armor, he raises his left hand, and with a loud *BLAM*, he fires forth a shot of metal, aimed at the ground near Pluto and Slash Man, shrapnel bursting from the shot. "Do not close for melee! I repeat, do not close for melee!" he yells. "Follow Rock's orders!"
Repliforce Ride Armor <Vanguard> manages to swerve: originally intending to use Vanguard's body as a shield if need be, Iris manages to avoid the force of the attack altogether, and her wings fight off the winds.
Seminole was just arriving at the front of the line and.. *CRACK*! The frost storm surrounds Seminole as the ice chunks away at his armor and tears away at various circut panels. The Hunter is literally blown away by the power of the storm, being thrown back out of the battle area and against one of the abandoned buildings. He doesn't get up.
Rock leaps about to dodge the incoming attack from Pluto, but gets caught and flung back into a snowbank. Standing, his chilled circuits rattling, he growls a little. "Oh, god, that hurt..." he grouses, standing as his body glows, having absorbed the damage as well and channeling it into the buster. Leaping into the air, he lets out a scream of attack.
On a pink-white zipshot background Rock appears, body glowing and the buster glowing white-hot. "GRAVITY......" he yells, and then aims at Pluto. "CRUSH!!!!!" And the winding blast of white and pink energy washes out toward the Stardroid, focusing all of Rock's anger and pain into the blast.
Pluto sneers as his unholy ice storm lays waste to his attackers. "Accept death now, fools, and spare yourselves the agony of what awaits you above." Oh, this is what he lives for. Take the souls of the world in bitter death for their sins, and then let Sunstar reduce the rest of the world into smoldering cosmic ash. The only problem is, summoning up that massive storm takes a lot of energy and concentration, leaving him wide open for the incoming attacks. Mirage Hyena's and the Wilydragon's attacks strike almost instantaneously, and the sudden storm dies almost as soon as it started as he's blasted off his feet with a feral screech of pain. o 0(Curses! They've realized my weakness!) runs quickly through his head.
Battered, but not beaten yet, Pluto starts to get up, looking almost as badly as he did when Eclipse blasted him a few nights ago. "You.. can stop the bringer of Death.." He coughs a bit, spitting out a breath of frost and liquid on the ice. "But you cannot stop Doomsday itself.." The look in his eyes, cold, morbid glare as always, but one that has accepted the evident outcome of this encoutner. Eclipse was right. Their own Judgement has come as well.
Rock's Gravity Crush strikes full on. Pluto makes no attempt to avoid it, in fact, the Stardroid seems to welcome it, the personaification of Death accepting it, embracing it, his form shillouetted in the intense glow of power as it engulfs him, and then shrouded completely from view, and then the wake of the explosion fades. He's still standing, though barely, like a dead cat walking. "The Herald of Armogeddon may fall... but his lord and master shall still come..."
And BOOM goes the Snowkitty, with a final feral screech as his form is reduced to the very element that destroyed it, rings of energy erupting out as the Stardroid dissolves into energy, and then nothing at all as the rings fade away.
Maverick Hunter Ride Armor <Albatross II> blinks. .oO(Holy @#$&...)Oo.
(Ch. E [None]) Needle Man transmits: 'Megaman. You deserve a raise.'.
Rock gets blown back away by the blast, slamming into a snowbank, his form white-hot and melting the snow. "Did I kill it?"
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'Did I kill it?'.
(Ch. E [EnkerLine]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Holy...'.
(Ch. E [Hunter/Repliforce]) Roll transmits: '...I think that will stop anymore comments about my brother. My god, he's gone.. Rock? You ok?'.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'Ow. Yeah. He kinda fueled that Gravity Crush with his attack, and...well, he got it back. Did I kill it?'.
(Ch. E []) Sigma transmits: 'Let us hope so.'.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'After this, I need a nap.'.
Twila Peterson forces herself up to her feet...blinking. "Um....ok..." she states wide-eyed. Then, "Face death, you shall overcome..."
Rock grunts, standing himself up. His armor is blown back from his chest, from his own shot, as he approaches where Pluto is/was.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'Everyone, stay BACK for the moment, until I check it out. We don't know if he's dead...'.
(Ch. E [EnkerLine]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'I've still got targeting lock... just in case.'.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: *in pain and annoyance* 'I SAID STAY THE @#$& BACK, ALL OF YOU, UNTIL I CHECK IT OUT!'.
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: 'Calm yourself, Rock...'.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'Sorry. I'm kinda hurtin'... think I fired a few nicely needed circuits with that blast.'.
(Ch. E [None]) General transmits: 'I understand perfectly, Hunter Commander. If you did the job, then we all owe you a great deal.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Seminole transmits: 'At least he's dead. Or looks the part.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Needle Man transmits: 'I think the attitude change is an improvement, Megaman.'.
(Ch. E []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Quiet!'.
(Ch. A [Hunter-Main]) Rock transmits: 'Will do, Twila.'.
(Ch. A [Rock]) Twila Peterson transmits: 'You be careful too.'.
Seminole staggers back to his feet, holding his left arm with his other hand, that appearing to be the only thing that keeps it together. He managed to up just in time to see Rock -pulverize- Pluto with the Gravity Crush. The Hunter looks around for a few moments, confused, and trying to see what's left of Pluto.
Roll scrambles over to the edge of the pit where Pluto was at, looking at Rock worriedly as she scans for any signs of the Stardroid. "..." she sweatdrops. And then she turns to Rock, "Come on.. let's get the key, and get you into repairs..."
(Ch. E [None]) Jupiter transmits: 'Ah, but death is such a transient state, is it not? We all live, but we never quite die, do we? We simply go on to be... hmhmhm. Recycled. Refreshed; reborn. Take it as you will. I have never been greatly into the philosophic arts...but you can never _give_ the game players the answers, can you? Hmhmhhehe.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: '... Jupiter...'.
(Ch. E [EnkerLine]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Who the @#$&?'.
(Ch. E [Repliforce/Hunter]) Rock transmits: 'What in the...? A STARDROID on this frequency?!'.
(Ch. B [Lighthawk]) Seminole transmits: 'Oh.. crap.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'So... good to hear from you, Jupiter...'.
(Ch. E [Mavericks!!!!]) Iris transmits: 'They're probably on every frequency.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Needle Man transmits: 'Yes, you are correct Iris. They are not fools.'.
(Ch. E [Elite]) Enker transmits: 'You expected perhaps with the constant babble over the last few days, they would decide not to intercept out of the goodness of their hears?'.
(Ch. E [Hunter/Repliforce]) Roll transmits: 'Are you choosing a side, Jupiter...?'.
(Ch. E [Mavericks!!!!]) Iris transmits: 'Actually, if an idiot like me can crack frequencies this easily, a Stardroid can certainly do it much more easily, Enker.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Jupiter transmits: 'Ah, The Perverter; The Chosen One. Whatever titles they've assigned you. They just add so much clutter to these games...'.
Rock grunts, peering down into the crater, and then sliding down into the side of it. "Where's the key?" he mutters, looking back up at Roll. "Let me find the key and then we can all go home."
Roll scrambles over to the edge of the pit where Pluto was at, looking at Rock worriedly as she scans for any signs of the Stardroid. "..." she sweatdrops. And then she turns to Rock, "Come on.. let's get the key, and get you into repairs..."
(Ch. E [None]) Jupiter transmits: 'Hello, players. Pawns; knights - thieves and cavaliers. I am Jupiter, the Stardroid of the heavens. I have been watching events unfold, yes I have. Hmhmhheh. Most interesting. And to think Terra was going to have -me- tried for interfering in the affairs of mortals...'.
Roll slides down with her brother to help her brother look, "He's gone, enough said, right?"
Twila Peterson gaks and stumbles back from where she was. She's too far to overhear those closer up front however but for a few voices. But she cringes at the channel.
A few moemnts later, the snow were he stood sizzles, something hot melting into it. An odd, metal key, alien shape, with the mythical symbol of Pluto on one end. The sign that he's been beaten.
Seminole hobbles through the snow, moving towards the crater with caution. He stops at the edge of it, shooting a look at Slash and Needle Man before looking back down at Rock and Roll. "I suggest you hurry, Commander. Another Stardroid might be dropping in to make sure we don't get the next key."
(Ch. E [None]) Needle Man transmits: 'I'm guessing you wouldn't be willing to relinquish your key, Jupiter?'.
Rock grimaces as he notes the key, hopping over the small rifts from his Gravity Crush to take hold of the key. "I'm sorry," he whispers. "But you gave us no choice." He turns, and holds up the key for all to see. "We have a fifth key!'
(Ch. E [Elite]) Enker transmits: 'The Stardroid seems to find us amusing. End all transmissions on this frequency. Let him show himself in person if he wants to play.'.
The Dragon... circles... slowly... a simple nod given. His eyes move though the debree... seeking for any sign of any material remains. And there... the Key... "Take it, Chosen One! The Key of Death is OURS!" The Dragon arches and ROARS!
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'Ahh... Jupiter. Indeed. End all transmissions on this Frequency!'.
(Ch. E [None]) Needle Man transmits: 'Why bother. He'll just find our new one.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'Needle, Silence!'.
Rock slides the key into a compartment in his leg, and then collapses into Roll's arms. "Okay. Can we go home?"
(Ch. E [None]) Jupiter transmits: 'Please. Do you think the gamesman gives his spoils willingly? But, however... I can assure you that I am the first to arrive upon your station. I suppose the reest don't find you worth it.'
(Ch. E [EnkerLine]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Okay, that's well and good... but why do you persist in taunting us over it?'.
(Ch. E []) Sigma transmits: 'Just a moment, Stardroid. If you indeed govern the Heavens then tell me this... from a purely cosmetic point of view would it not be a shame for the heavens to lose as beautiful a world as this?'.
The Dragon looks up at the sky... eyes narrowing as he lets out a shout. "All aboard!"
(Ch. E [Elite]) Enker transmits: 'Sigma, Hunter, Silence! You heard Dr. Wily.'.
(Ch. E []) Sigma transmits: 'I do not obey your master, Enker. I am not a puppet.'.
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'No, Enker... Let those who would truely speak talk to the Sky God. Sigma... General... Rock... We would all speak to you, Jupiter.'.
Roll oofs as Rock's weight lands in her arms. "..remind me to cut back on your apple pies..." she says with mock-hurt as she worriedly drags Rock towards the dragon, "Make sure you have that key someplace safe." she warns softly as she drags her brother along
Rock nods, and pats his hip. "It's safe." He walks along with Roll, letting out a sigh. "I didn't think it'd be that easy..."
(Ch. E [None]) Jupiter transmits: 'Why? Hmmmm. Well, I couldn't tell you that. Noooo. Couldn't at all. I will admit that this is absolutely of no use to you - the statement, I would mean - but, it is preferable to being told nothing which might be nothing with a lot of useless banter. My comrades are far too - hmmm - melodramatic, even for my tastes. There are things I -can- tell you, of course. Things to even the game - bits of history, bits of backstory. I could tell you all a grand tale. But - not yet. Your champions are weak from battle, your warriors are lusting blood - oil, whatnot. This would not be the most opportune time.'.
(Ch. E [EnkerLine]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Then when would be?'.
(Ch. E [None]) Dr. Wily transmits: 'Jupiter... Are you still there?'.
(Ch. E [None]) Jupiter transmits: 'Hmmm. I suppose I could heal your warriors myself - but there is no assurace that your lusts would be weakened. Return to your fortresses and barkeeps. Lick your wounds. When the time is right, you shall be visited, players. And, do remember...as wizard's skill fails at the blade, so does the warrior not understand the workings of nature. Or somesuch. Oh - Terra says Hi. But if you make any mention of my name in connection to this, I'll hunt each of you down and rend you with my bear hands. Tootles.'.
(Ch. E []) Blizzard Man transmits: 'What the @#$&?'.
(Ch. E []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Cute.'.
(Ch. E [EnkerLine]) Michael Eildath transmits: 'Did anyone understand what the @#$& he was talking about?'.
