Command Chamber - RHQ
If the Command Floor is the heart of Repliforce, then this room is definitely the brain. The second half of the enormous Repliforce mainframe computer is housed in this well-lit room, even more Repliforce soldiers and officers moving around. There are personal communication and monitoring stations, as well as numbrous collapsible tables where officers can meet and collaborate. The din in here is usually not too bad, though you can find people in here any time of night or day doing their jobs. In the middle of the room is a massive platform and retractable desk where the General can sit and work, as well as make decisions.
Seated at his desk is the mammoth frame of General. The golden
and bronze giant seems to be brooding as is his nature at times.
Contemplating many things. Paper work still left unfinished and
the command screens around him darkened and inactive. His eyes
closed and it would seem he's tuned out of the world though that
is far from the truth.
The mammoth door that leads into the command center itself is
sealed and closed, assuring the General's privacy and his time to
sort his thoughts, as any good Repliforcer would be more than
willing to respect the quiet time of their leader. However, this
is not so for others who may decide to come calling....for
purposes of their own, or perhaps for purposes of a different
nature.
While the door is seemingly airtight where it meets the floor,
still...there's a slight flicker of movement, as -something-
begins to ooze in underneath, through a microscopic crack. Little
more than an actual blob right now, and yellowish in tinge, the
liquid state flows smoothly through it's entrance, oozing across
the floor and towards the giant, open space not far from
General's desk itself. It's then, and only then that it begins to
finally raise upwards, and glow with power as it starts to take
shape, that of a massive ovoid on two incredibly large legs,
coupled with the equally massive arms hanging loosely from its
sides, and ending in the two large horns that protrude outwards.
And of course the eye....that single, unblinking eye.
General frowns slowly and brings his optics up to their full
intensity as he glances up to note the intruder,
"Mmm..?" he states and then begins to issue a rumble to
security..but then pauses as recognition flares into his mind.
"Eclipse.." he states. Tone neutral and guarded yet not
wary. Reserved but unconcerned as if well aware of the nature of
this paticular Stardroid. Still its presence is soemwhat unusual.
Not known to return to a place he's already been and certain
Eclipse has learned all he can of Repliforce and General, right.
Nonetheless the Repliforce command rumbles, "I presume
calling security at this intrusion would be futile so I will not
bother and simply ask why are you here? The Stardroids have been
mysteriously absent of late. To what do I owe the ..pleasure of
this visit. Have you come to observe? If so there is little to
see here right now.. I am within myself. My thoughts are my own
and not avaliable to be shared.."
Eclipse's entire form seems to flow for a few seconds, as if
seeking a solid state...then finally settles itself. He stares at
General for the longest time as he speaks, eerily unmoving in his
attention, and despite his lack of any ears of any sort....one
knows he is listening intently. Without even breaking stride as
General speaks of his thoughts and how they are own, his own
booming voice finally fills the entire room.
"My presence....is of a different nature than what you
anticipate."
A pause, as if considering his next words, before he finally
speaks again.
"Summoning of security would be a futile gesture, and
also contrary to my purpose here." His gargantuan arms
raise, crossing over his thick chest as he speaks. "I have
observed from afar the happenings of recent time. The arrivals of
these outsiders, and their effects on this world itself, as well
as the very fabric of reality. What I am here to give...."
His eye blinks slowly, returning to its previous state exactly
as before. As if the very -concept- of giving without fair trade
is alien to him. "...is a confirmation to your curiosities,
an answer."
"I see." rumbles General as his eyes narrow to cat
like slits. He presses his fingers together and leans back
relaxed in his large chair as if letting your words sink in.
Attempting to substantiate the validity of your words. Finally
his deep voice rumbles, "It logical that you would have a
deeper awareness of what the presence of these vistors could mean
then myself. My perceptions are limited unlike your own. I would
be a fool to think otherwise. However I find myself questioning
nonetheless as the Stardroids have been nortorious for their non
intereference and unwillingness to reveal key information when
there is a need. I am curious as to what has prompted this change
and why you yourself have come to me. Amongst all the Stardroids
I would have figured you would have been the last one to actually
give information. You are a observer..a recorder. Little more if
what I recall from our last meeting is correct."
"If the fabric of reality ceases to exist..." The
other giant rumbles in return. "That which I have recorded
and observed, that which I have seen on different worlds is all
but lost. This is not self preservation, but preservation of that
which I have gathered, and cannot lose." He shifts ever so
slightly, releasing one arm from his stance and holding one hand
out, palm-up. Floating above it, is a perfect replica of the
planet Earth itself, slowly spinning on its axis. "Our
presence and existence is compromised, yet we cannot interfere
still, as this is out of our hands. What happens next is up to
those who reside on this world, and their actions, including your
own. Arming one with information against the coming storm, is the
limits of our allowance, and even then, there is only so much
which may be given." The tiny planetoid suddenly shudders,
as a tear seems to split down the middle.
"Reality as it is known has been torn now, and the rip
grows larger with each passing day. Those who have arrived have
set the balance on an imbalance, from an outside source. There is
only one way to return things as they were once again...."
The tear in the holographic planetoid slowly mends itself once
again, leaving the Earth a whole. "To remove those that
imbalance it. By returning them from hence they came.......or to
destroy their sparks which cause such temporal chaos. If their
presence is -not- removed within the alotted time....."
The crack appears once more in the planet itself, and it
begins to shake violently, splitting more and more across its
crust....until finally it begins to break apart.
Wordlessly, Eclipse clenches his hand into a fist, effectively
crushing the image out of existence.
The expression of General remains reserved although the look
in his eyes seems to flare up into immediate concern as he hears
the words and sees the hologram. How he manages to maintain his
full composure is simply a testament to the art that is his mind
and programming. Most would break down into hysterics upon such
information. He simply observes and absorbs before the last
statement is made at which point he rumbles, "I see.."
he watches you for a few seconds and then rumbles, "Such a
thing is easier said then done. I refuse to simply destroy them
unless absolutey necessary, not to mention the difficulty in
doing so to Magistrate Vile and Lady Viris... However you confirm
fears I already had but had no true proof to substanitate them.
How much longer do we have? What more can you reveal regarding
sending them back? Do the Stardroids have a way?"
Sunstar pages: And she said she'd never be back. Can I shout it
out on <admin>? :P
Guest pages: Oh, well I just sent in my app to be a Maverick
Hunter, and I was wondering if it is possible for someone to take
a look at it maybe tonight?
Eclipse stares impassively, as if he were relating nothing
more than the weather and how it's predicted to be in the near
future. "The fabric of reality is something that we do not
delve in." He speaks. "Thus accurate forcasting of when
it will finally break under the strain and collapse once again is
impossible. However, there is still time to repair the damage.
Your desire to return those to their own timelines without
harming them may not be possible, as it would appear some do not
-wish- to return to their origins. It will come time to question
which is more valuble to you and those you fight alongside. The
lives of an individual or individuals, or that of an entire
universe and civilizations not yet even known of by your
planet."
He shifts once again, drawing his hand back to being crossed
over his thick chest. "The stardroids cannot interfere
directly, for reasons beyond that which your world would
understand. To send them back, would be the same way that they
were brought here in the first place. Or to destroy them."
Often has General said he will not risk temporal disaster and
will take the necessary steps but now faced with the reality that
he might have to he is unsure. While it would surely be easier to
simply destroy them and it is obvious the are not from /the/ past
and /the/ future but simply alternate versions and so their
deaths wouldn't effect much aside from repairing things..he is
still hesistant. Finally he merely rumbles once more, "I
see.. Such technology may not be easily replicated but we have
little choice..... Yes.. The needs of the many outweigh the needs
of the few. That much is obvious. I would not be possessed of the
Ion Cannon if my superiors did not believe such a thing."
silence once more emits from him before he rumbles, "Yes
well although I disagree in that I believe we can understand
quite abit about you Stardroids and I think the fact that you are
aware of our ability to easily adapt to circumstnaces and
knowledge..including your own..is what keeps the lot of you
acting so mysterious and pretending as if we simply cannot
understand you. I disagree. I think that you Stardroids are in
your own way more similar to us all then you care to admit.
Yourself included.." he is silent and then he rumbles,
"I thank you for this information although there is
obviously no emotional backing to your revealing it save a
preservation of your own knowledge. It gives us mroe then we
had."
"Emotions, are something posessed by your race....which
dominates this planet. Humands and robotic life as you refer to
them...they are one in the same in their functions, and capacity
of thought. Ours if of a different type....and there is much that
you would not agree upon with us, yet it must remain that
way." Eclipse's single eye, slowly blinks once again, as he
finally unfolds his arms again....staring at General's massive
form. "The information you now possess is your weapon
against this disturbance. Use it as you will, and fate shall
decide if it is enough to overcome what you now face."
The gargantuan stardroid's form begins to glow once again, as
it slowly starts to break apart...piece by piece, which return to
liquid form as they touch the floor. From the ground up, he
begins to liquify once again, offering parting words until he's
completely reverted to his travelling form once more.
"Understanding us is something you strive for...perhaps
it is a goal you will reach one day. But our own purpose shall
never change regardless....."
With those words gone, the mass flowing form of Eclipse
himself begins to ooze towards the huge door once more....
General's huge fingers remain pressed together even as he
hears your counter argument regarding the position of the
Stardroids in the grand scheme of things. "We all have our
roles to play." he states solemnly even as you ooze
away..and then finally he shakes his head and taps an intercom
button while rumbling, "Secretary Seagull...immediatly
contact all department heads and alert them I am calling a war
meeting.. I have news that cannot wait.."
