Lesson 1
Basic Button
STEP 1: You need to
resize the picture you are using if it's larger than your button. To do
this, click on
Image > Resize > Click on Custom size=
I just put the height as 31 Be sure
you check the Maintain aspect ratio. Or
if you'd like use this gif to learn on.
STEP 2: Now you'll need
a blank button. Choose File > New > Width=88
Height=31 Back ground color= On mine I'll
use black since the image is black. Image
type= 16 million colors (24 bit).
Your image should be a blank black button like
so:
STEP 3: Select your
image. Then select Edit > Copy. This
will copy your image so you will be able to put it on your button.
STEP 4: Now select
your blank button. Choose Edit > Paste > As
A New Selection. This put the image on your
button. Just place it where you want it on your button then left click.
You should now have your basic button and image that looks like this:
STEP 5: Now choose Window
> Duplicate. This will give you two identical
buttons.
STEP 6: Now you can
select your writing tool and write whatever you want. Do the same for the
other button. Here's mine:
Now save both of your buttons - I saved them as fluer1
and fluer2. Make sure to save them in GIF Format. Now let's get out the
GIF Construction Set!!

STEP 7: This is
real simple. Choose File> Animation Wizard.
The Animation Wizard will pop up then. Click
on Next.
Check >Yes, for use with a web page. Click
Next.
Check > Loop Indefinitely. Click Next.
Check > Matched To Super Palette. Click Next.
Set the delay to 100 hundreths. Click Next.
Now you can choose your two buttons that you
just made. Always choose them in the order in which you want them to read.
Click Next.
Click done. Now
you can view it, then be sure to save it!!! And, presto, you have an animated
button!!!
