The Sea Eagle is a new design on an old model. The New Navy's primary personel and supply transport, it also engages in infiltration, exfiltration and resupply of special operations forces in day, night or marginal weather conditions. Other missions include combat search and rescue.
The Marines SH-60A Sea Eagle is an airborne platform based aboard cruisers, destroyers, and frigates and deploys sonobouys (sonic detectors) and torpedoes in an anti-submarine role. They also extend the range of the ship's radar capabilities. The Navy's SH-60B is carrier-based.

Model Type: SH-60A (Navy's Helo is deisgnated SH-60B)
Class: Transport/anti-submerisble helicopter
Crew: 3 or 4: Pilot, Co-Pilot,  Communications technician, and a secondary gunner if side door gun is in place.

M.D.C. by location
*** Four-Blade rotor - 100 (25 per blade)
** Rear Rotor - 75
* Main Body - 315
Rienforced Pilots Compartment - 130

* Destroying the Main body knocks the helicopter out of flight and renders it completely inoperable with a 40% chance of exploding.

** Destroying the rear rotor or one of the main blades will cause the helicopter to fly at half speed, wobble, and is -6 to dodge, -2 to strike ,and -40% on all piloting skill/maneuver. Pilots are trained  to land as soon as possible, if this were to occur.

*** Destroying the main rotor will send the helicopter down uncontrollably. However the pilot can roll a -40% for a successful crash landing. I suggest rolling on the crash landing tables in the Robotech: Macross main book under piloting skills.
 A crash will do 4D6 x 10 M.D. to the helicopter and 1D6 x 10 M.D. to a 50 ft (15.2 m) radius from impact, flying debris, etc.

note: The main and rear rotor are -4 to strike with a called shot.

Speed:
Flying: The engine of the new Sea Eagle is the same diesign as from pre-rifts with minimal changes. The helicopter can travel at a maximum speed of 280 mph.

Ceiling: The helicopter has a maximum cieling of 20,000 ft (6096 m).

Range: The nuclear power plant gives the Sea Eagle continual power, but the jets overheat after about 10 hours at speeds of over 100 mph, or four hours if giong above 200 mph (329 km). Going at 100 mph or below with occaisional rest stops will allow the helicopter to travel for 40 continuous hours. A liquid fuel versino is also available with a range of approximatley 520 miles.

Statistical Data:
Height: 13 to 17 feet
Length: 64 feet 10 inches (19.6 meters)
Cargo: Enough room to hold 11 geared troops or 5-6 powered armor troops.
Power System: Nuclear power system or Liquid fuel.
Black Market cost: The Sea Eagle is not available on the black market. If it was available it would be sold for approximatley 20-25 million credits fir nuclear, or 2 miliion for liquid fuel.

Weapons Systems:

1. Door Rail Gun (optional) (1 or 2): Used primarily for anti-personel, the rail gun can cover landing zones while troops load/unload. this is an aolder design from pre-rifts but it has proven reliable and effective. A product Improvement Program is being done however to upgrade the existing railgusn on Navy ships.
Primary Purpose: Defense
Secondary Purpose: Anti-Personel
Mega-Damage: 15 round bursts are 6D6 M.D.
Rate of Fire: Equal to the gunner's hand to hand attacks.
Payload: 900 rounds
Approximate effective range: 3600 ft.

2. Torpedoes: Torpedoes are used by the Sea Eagle against submersibles, ships, and underwater attackers/monsters. the types of torpedoes used by the helicopter are mini, light, medium, and heavy.
Primary Purpose: Anti-submerisble
Secondary Purpose: Anti-surface ship.
Mega-Damage:
Mini Torpedo: 1D6 x 10 M.D. (HE or Plasma). Range: One mile (1.6 km). Cost: 3500 credits each
Light Torpedo: 2D4 x 10 M.D. (HE) or 1D6 x 10 M.D. (Plasma). Range: 5 miles (8 km). cost: 8000 credits each.
Medium Torpedo: 3D4 x 10 M.D. (HE) or 2D6 x 10 M.D. (Plasma). Range: 10 miles (16 km). Cost: 10,000 credits each.
Heavy Torpedo: 4D6 x 10 M.D. (HE or Plasma). Range: 20 miles (32 km). Cost: 20,000 credits each.
Rate of fire: Equal to the pilot's hand to hand attacks.
Payload: Mini torpedoes: 8, Light torpedoes: 6, Medium torpedos: 4, Heavy Torpedoes: 3
