Killer Bee's Favorite Starship.
Most people believe the Fek'lhr to be the best Klingon Starship. It is not.
When selecting a favorite starship, many factors go in to the process for selecting it. Picture, range, combat values, devices, crew requirements, and the episode it was in.
The Fek'lhr has a great picture, superb range and combat values, a great episode, it only lacks power in the crew requirement section. This is all powerful cards' weaknesses. In Magic, the Collossus costed 9 mana and 9 more to attack. This was prohibitive because it brought out a character with such high defense that is was close to impossible to kill short of with an army of soldiers, so it must cost a lot. The Future Enterprise brought this strength, and it was much better than the Fek'lhr because it has a similar crew requirement for +2/+1/+1. In comparison, the Fek'lhr is not a demonstration of Klingon power, but a demonstration of Klingon lack of AU technology.
Without the Fek'lhr as a flagship, there are only 3 other special Vor'chas with reasonable power. All three require 2 staff personnel, and one Commander. These are very reasonable crew requirements, so therefore, the Vor'chas would be the next most reasonable choice. Range is held in high importance. If the enemy runs, what good is a gun heavy slug going to do if it cannot catch up to the fleeing starship. Range must be high to complete missions. This rules out the Math-H'a as a flagship choice. The only two alternatives are the BortaS and the Qu'vat. The Qu'vat would be the logical choice. It has high range, high shields, and weapons are virtually useless in most Star Trek Games. I chose the BortaS.
Why? Because whenever I play, my Klingon Outpost is on the ground, leaving only my neutral outpost, which makes the difference between 7 and 8 shields negligable. True, the Enterprise can damage the BortaS, but I have my reasons:
Nine Weapons is not special, but eleven weapons is. This is preciceley why I seed Data's head with Kurlikan Nasicose. I come out with a one ship outpost Killer. True, the Qu'vat could take on a Borg Ship, but if you can outrun their ship with 33 range, destroy their outpost with 33 weapons, and destroy the Borg ship, usually elliminating your opponent would be the best choice, unless the drawout will soon occur. The BortaS also has captain's log Capability, leaving Gowron as a great addition to a deck with the BortaS. This ship is the ultimate combat choice for the Klingons.
The picture is also the best of any card that there is. There are only three starships firing on the picture of their card. The Sutherland, the Khazara, and the BortaS. This is a neat picture of the disruptor about to hit a bird of prey. The episode was also the best in the series, with the possible exception of "All good things..." and "Yesterday's Enterprise". The storyline was great, and the battles were furious and moved at a quick pace.
Therefore, the Feklhr is certainly not the best Klingon starship, but the BortaS is.

Lone Warrior's Favorite Starship
[Enterprise-E Picture not avalible]
My favorite Star Trek ship. Is it the Future Enterprise? Nope. Is it the USS Enterprise? Nope. My favorite ship is a card not out just yet. My favorite starship is, the soon to be released, Enterprise-E. It will become an instant favorite when it comes out. Not only will it be fast, but a good offence and defence (I'm estamating at least a 10 for Weapons and 9-10 for shields). But all good things will come at a price. I have a feeling this card will have heavy crew requirements. Like the Future Entperise, I suspect it will need 3 command stars and 1 staff star. There will probably be cards that benifit it (against the Borg) and cards that disadvantage it (like a weakness). Here is what I think the Enterprise-E is: Range 10, Weapons 10, Shields 10, 3 Command Stars , 1 Staff Star. Remember, this is the flagship for the Federation, and it will blow the borg away with some help from Kurlican Nasicose. The Weapons of 10 will make the Modified starship have weapons of thirty. The new bridge crew will provide most classifications which would make this possible. Support the Federation war against the Borg, this ship must go in every Federation deck.

Why is this my favorite card? About a year ago, I was doing poorly in ST:CCG. And out of total randomness one day, I told my friend, "Today I am going to get the Future Enterprise." He was skeptical, and thought I was joking, but I wasn’t. I headed towards the card shop later that afternoon and bought a few packs, and not surprisingly one of them contained the FE! I was so happy, and from then, this ship has traveled the spaceline, quickly and proudly, helping me earn those victories that I will always remember. Usually I pass most of my missions in one turn (and unfortunately for my opponent it happens to be the last turn) I have only been stranded once and therefore do not agree with the argument that the Future Enterprise is at a great danger of being stranded. And even if it were, it is the only Ultra Rare card, and if you have it, you should play it proudly.

Khazara
* + + Tractor Beam, Cloaking Device
RANGE 9 WEAPONS 9 SHIELDS 7
As one Star Trek player to another, I seem to favor Romulan ships because of there uses and relivence in the show. My own personal favorite is the Khazara. Not only is it a fast ship which can be helpful for completing missions faster, but is strong in battles when it has backup from the Devorus or Haakona. The picture is something I also enjoy about the card. It soars through space fighting all things which oppose it. The picture does makes you feel a little proud about your ship. The last thing I enjoy about this ship is its relivence in the show. It appears in the episode when Troi is a Romulan who is helping spies. I guess everyone should have a ship which they can brag about.
The Future Enterprise By Guest Writer ALFFSF
This is simply the greatest ship the federation will ever have in its armada. It has 11 range, 10 weapons, and 9 shields. Plus the holodeck, tractor beam, AND a cloaking device!! The only drawback is that is requires a larger number of personnel, 1 command and 3 AU. But still, this ship seen in the final episode of The NExt generation is faster, stronger, and has the same shields as the original enterprise d. How could you not have this ship in your deck? Okay, it is tough to get, and very expensive. But should you get one, your opponent will be freaking out!!! The only equivalent is the Klingon ship IKC Fek'lhr, and even then it has weaker weapons and shields. Is there any other ship in the Federation fleet which comes close? Well, the Enterprise D did come close, but even Starfleet's ex-flagship couldn't hope to take on this vessel. Can you think of any better ship in the game? Hmmmm.......no. It's the best ship currently. No one would dare to oppose this ship in a battle.

For any People that haven't taken the time to tear up this card:
Shuttlecraft is:
No Crew Requirements/special Equipment
RANGE 6 WEAPONS 2 SHIELDS 2
Future Enterprise, best ship in the game, right? Wrong, it sucks. While I'm at it, I better say that the Enterprise sucks, (The IKC Bortas rules, but that is besides the point) , the Khazara sucks, the Yamato Sucks. In fact almost all the ships in Decipher's Star Trek galaxy suck. A normal player will say, "What's wrong with them, the future enterprise is so powerful!" But what the does the future enterprise do? It moves real fast. It can run away like a scared little twerp from Klingons and shuttle craft alike! Federation can't attack because they're for "peace" and all that diplomacy stuff, so its weapons etc. are pretty lame, except for defense. Defense from what? Defense from crappy Klingon ships, or Romulan warp core breach birds. If you want to move quickly, use shuttlecraft. Lots of shuttlecraft. Play them all over the spaceline. You can move from place to place to place real fast. You ask "Why wouldI want to do this?" Well I pose the question, "Why do you want Future Enterprise?" If you want a Future Enterprise, get a blank piece of paper, and write Future Enterprise in big letters, so stupid people can read it. Anyone that really wants one will eventually give enough money to Decipher to get it, so why not save money? Back to the topic, I think shuttlecraft are pretty cool. They're at least cheap pieces of glossy paper. Maybe someday you could grind them up and make some cool paper. They are good for that Autodestruct Sequence card. You can blow it up and maybe do some damage to an opponents lousy ship at the same place. While you're at it, you could blow them all up and kill all the opponents ships. Or you could move them all to one place and do absolutely nothing, the possibilities are endless. What about an attack deck? What will shuttle craft do then? Run, run like hell and then get whooped. If you play enough, it won't matter that they get destroyed. You'll have more and be popping from place to place in your fleet of dinky shuttlecraft. If you start getting whooped, take a black pen and write Oberth or Miranda on all your shuttlecraft. Say, oops, I forgot to replace these crap ships with Mirandas or Oberths. They're just as crappy but have a little more shields. So take out your rare ships, and play shuttlecraft, the holiest ship of them all.
House Rules in Effect
Many house rules are necessary to ensure balance and stability in Star Trek games.
1) No Hor'ghn: This card makes attacking twice as strong, movement twice as fast, dilemmas half as effective. The only question is why does it stay in play, not work for one or two turns.
2) Sometimes one artifact per mission. Although 3 artifacts at one planet mission can help a consistanty losing player get a quick advantage, it usually makes the game one-sided against the person who completes the first mission.
3) Captain's Log Rules in effect. This encourages battles and unusual combinations of ships. Very interesting in attack decks,
4) One Red Alert. If there are 3-4, the games move too quickely.
5) No Supernova. Normally one of the two following cases is in effect. 1. All the good personnel are at the same location whether it be in one or many starships. or 2. Everyone is at the outpost. This ends the game real quick and is no fun for either player.
6) Players cannot win while drawing out. They must continue playing until they reach 100 points. I hate always losing after I kill my opponent! I destroy all their ships and they are left with 65 points and then they draw out. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
