Warcraft II is a fantasy game where you need to build and maintain an army of either the invading Orcs (Boo!) or the defending Humans (Yea!) (this changes in the Expansion Set). So that you can wipe out your enemies (simple theory huh, just try it...). There are fourteen levels for each campaign and they get harder in succesion.
There are many elements in the game which can allow nearly anything to happen. There is even a Map Edidtor that comes with the game which lets you make your own scenarios (PUD's). If you get the Expansion Set (Beyond the Dark Portal) it comes loaded with a huge amount of PUD's, they range from impossible to completely silly.
There are zillions of places on the net where you can download PUD's and programs for War II. One of the best programs is War2xEd, it's a Map Edidtor that let's you add extra factors to the game including but definatly not limited to: Bridges-things that all unit's can pass over or through; Caves- area's flying units can't enter; and Space- places NOTHING can enter. It also allows you to edit the unit properties so anything can happen.
