You told that you loved me

And I heard it with skeptical ears

You said your heart belonged to me

Yet I still held on to my fears

 

From the beginning I loved you too

With an unwilling heart

And I gave myself to you

Though I was scared to from the start

 

I quickly learned of your sincerity

And found myself trusting you

I couldn’t stop the love that I was feeling

And I could not stop it as it grew

 

So When you hear me doubting you

Fall deaf upon these thoughts

It is my only my fears coming through

 

And when you see that my heart is hurting

Know that the fault lies not in you

It’s really old wounds that are still healing

 

At these tomes think of my love for you

It is boundless and open

Remember that I love you
