<blockquote> <blockquote> <blockquote> <center> Today at the Bistro...</center> <p> <a name="#1-8-99"><b>January 8, 1999</b></a> <p> Lori and Ryan brave the perilous ice-strewn streets of Trektown in desperate pursuit of a late dinner after they close up the Bistro and their cook has gone home. It's late, though, and everything is closed...they are forced to patronize their bitterest rival: the dread TGI Friday's (dum dum DUMMMMM). <p> It's cold out. It's wet. The waitress is grumpy. It's late and there are far too many frat boys about for comfort. THey order without much thought...the whisper-thin Ryan is served what looks like an entire cow on a trencher plate with some onion rings. Lori is unable to eat her cheesy potatoes for laughing at the sight...the food is bigger than Ryan is. <p> After dinner and bearing a very large doggie bag, they stop by to visit Barry the Kinko's Guy. He informs them that the new menus would be ready except that their stationary template got accidentally shredded. <p> To put the perfect capper on the evening, back at Lori's house there is bad news from the Internet World. It seems that Kate Mulgrew may leave Voyager before the series' run ends. Lori finds this distressing...she runs Kate's fanclub mailing list and cringes in anticipation of the list traffic that this will generate and all the spoilers that aren't going to be allotted their space.
