(Koronande Senate) Speaker Si Maelstrom urged Senators to work together to avoid provoking radical elements in Amber nor destroying an alliance that helped drive out Tanturaki invaders in the past.
Maelstrom, an accused lover of Princesses Zariya and Alexis and Breyd, as well as accused of debauching Prince Laszlo, spoke impassioned in the Senate opposing the motion and calling it supportable by the stupid, corrupt or under control of the Court of Ardor.
"Everyone knows Ardana is waiting for the Empire (of Tanturak) and her Mumakan allies to be strong so that they can attack our Republic. The skillful manipulation of the stupid Haven Government by the Courts shows how effective they can be. If they can fool a kingdom with more people with Ph'ds than plumbers, then how easy can the Courts fool someone like Zolo Hann. We all know that Lesh-Y never has company unless it is for a good reason. And Zolo Hann may be a strong athlete but never has been renowned for his conversational wit."
"We are very aware of treacherous favourites of King Oberon's who seek this war for their own private vendettas, their own drive for dominion and lordship, they are much like the Courts themselves, supplanting them in their own merciless desire for Lordship and Domination of our continent. While we condemn them and their slavery of our Mumakan brothers, we denounce their atrocities, invasions, and coups. But they are not Amber."
"To condemn Amber is to declare war against the rest of our world. That is suicide and would benefit our enemies in Ardor and Tanturak." Maelstrom said.
"However the red headed rascal in the Amber Embassy has yet to present his credentials." notes Maelstrom wryly.
