(Ardor) After months of work under harsh conditions, the renown merchant and venture capitalist Lord Kayliss has announced the opening of the port of Sylvana on the western seaboard. There has always been a natural harbour there, utilising the deep water fjord, but recent work means there are now berths capable of handling large cargos. Lord Kayliss is thought to be hoping to capture some of the blossoming overland trade seeking to avoid the punitive tariffs imposed by Prince Rory, effectively closing the Gulf of Koros.
Speaking to the Koronande Chamber of Commerce, he said: "We are the hub of Ardor, and the stifling of our natural trade routes has gone on too long. This new port will open new opportunities for our merchants, without interference from our southern neighbors. It is the first of many projects under consideration by the Koronande Free Trade Corporation, of which I am a director. I hope like-minded patriots will take the opportunity to invest in this scheme, and many like it that will throw off the noose that is choking the life-blood of our country."
