Now a resident of Koronande, Prince Laszlo was quickly on the scene to offer support to the beleaguered traders of Koronanade, and to help reconstruct the port. Salvage and rescue teams were quickly deployed so that builders could get to work at the earliest opportunity. He made this statement to waiting reporters.
"This wanton act of violence is deplorable, but it would be premature to blame my cousin Rory for this outrage. Despite his differences with Lady Pearl, most esteemed and well-respected lady of the Republic, he would not burn the boats that pay King Oberon's taxes. This is without doubt the work of agents who are not only Koronande's enemies, but those of Amber. We will take this opportunity to build robustly, taller, grander and better, sure in the knowledge the Republic will grow stronger through adversity."
