The Card: The Eight of Cups represents Indolence. It means abandoned success or decline. It is temporary success but without any further results. It is the essence of instability, and thus indicates decline in a matter. It may mean misery, or journeying from land to land. However, it can also mean leaving the material for a higher success.
The Character: Spencer, currently, is trying to make himself King of Harmony, which has been taken over by Abyss Hags. Although this may be a noble goal, somehow, to me, he falls short of it. Maybe it's because he comes across as a snobbish suck-up, trying to get the support of anyone who will support him yet trying to remain superior, at least in attitude. Still, only my opinion.
