The Card: The Hierophant card is the card of divine wisdom. It indicates strength, patience, help from superiors, and peace. It is the card that most people associate with organized religion.

The Character: Bances is the head of a major church in Equinox. I'm not quite sure which, but I think it's the Chaos church. I actually didn't pick this card for Bances; the GM, Craig, did. However, since he is the head of this very influential church, it is an appropriate choice. Bances has the 'woe-list' as well, and it's a dubious honor to be accorded a spot on it.
