The Card: The 7 of Swords represents Futility. It means unstable effort, indecision between issues, and an untrustworthy person. It can also mean vain striving against a powerful opposition, or giving up due to lack of energy on the brink of winning. Lastly, it can mean a journey by land.

        The Character: Boy, did I nail this one on the head. Scherazade is the perfect example of futility in this game. From an outsider's point of view, it seemed that no matter what anyone did (Zariya, Breyd, the King...and so on) she was going to do what she was going to do and to hell with the rest of you. There's a certain amount of moxy in that that is to be admired, but it's also earned her a place in the Equinox hall of fame for sheer stubborness and refusal to change.
