By order of the Postmaster General, the transport terminus and Postal Office of Dianadale has been closed until further notice. All packages and mail will be delivered directly to the Mayor's Office in Amber City for scrutiny and re-direction. Furthermore, the planned extension of the Amber Light Rail has been indefinitely postponed, and canal projects for the area mothballed.
A spokesman had this to say: "Regrettably due to increasing demands on the postal service we are unable to provide the necessary staffing levels to allow the secure handling of mail in Dianadale. The opening up of new roads and infrastructure across the country has meant more activity in construction and less cover for the day-to-day business of sorting mail. With an increasing threat of infiltration from beyond our borders, it has been necessary to centralise certain tasks. Dianadale has been identified as an area where cuts could be made, and with reluctance we have carried them out. We hope this will not inconvenience the local population too much.
Long live the King."
