(Amber City) Workers today began the process of reopening the Blackhall complex, previously used as the seat of Amber's civil government under King Bleys and Jasra, with a ceremonial passing of the keys.
A former bureaucrat in King Bleys' civil government handed over a large ring of keys to Amber's Guildmaster who then opened the wrought iron gates to the Piazza d'Isobeau himself.
"This is a grand day for the working men and women of Amber," he announced. "Through the ages and numerous changes in government, the Amber Guilds have served the people in many capacities. Now, with the reopening of Blackhall, we look forward to being able to serve the people with greater efficiency as we upgrade our offices to take advantage of Blackhall's many assets."
Security around the worksite remains very tight despite a large influx of workers all clamoring to participate in the project.
