You've seen the Jr. High...well...here's the nursery.
Dame Margot is Nanny and she keeps herding all the Amber babies into the Nursery...
As we walk in, we see Baby Whitley over in the corner. He has two COOL puppies with him, Lucky and Daisey. He's dressed up in plastic pretend white armour, so he can be like daddy. Nanny Margot has to keep taking the plastic sword (which he insists is better than Greyswandir) off of him to keep him from destroying the nursery lamps. He's currently kicking the skirting board to see if that raises any evil dust demons he could slay and stuffing beans up his nose. Mostly because Scherazade told him not to.
Baby Exthian is wandering around the nursery trying to find somebody to play with. He bumps into Laszlo, who's decided to play Robin Hood. However, upon hearing that he'd have to play Maid Marion because Pepper refused to, he decides to give it a miss and sidles over to where some of the girls are playing. He drops his allowance on the floor and picks it up, trying to look up all of the girl's skirts.
Sabine and Aura are playing dolls together and then they get into a fight about who's dolls is prettier than the other. This gets heated for a moment and then they both flounce off. Sabine sneaks over to Rory and tries to talk Rory into kissing her, but he's convinced she has cooties and won't do it until she gives him a quarter.
Meanwhile Aura has gone off to go pout at her brother, Laszlo, who's decided to dress up in green tights to REALLY play the part. He's talked poor Dunstree into playing Friar Tuck. He's also in the middle of trying to convince Dunstree that as Friar Tuck he doesn't REALLY have to give money to the poor...no...if Robin Hood keeps the money he could work on BEHALF of the poor.
Pepper won't wear the skirts that Nanny Margot keeps trying to make all the girls wear. She and Jada are over in the corner torturing the kitten Dover by setting his whiskers on fire. Pepper reckons she's doing a better job being a bad girl than Jada and Jada yells at her, calling her a 'fraidy cat and a poopy-pants. This erupts into a fight where there is a lot of hair pulling and scratching. Nanny Margot has to seperate them and tells them they won't get any pudding with supper.
Baby Alexis has ALL of the building blocks. She keeps building houses, castles and streets and then gets mad when Rory and Zariya run all over it, kicking the blocks everywhere. She yells at them and tells them that this is no way to treat all the toys Grandfather buys them.
Baby Constantine has decided you can never be too young to drink coffee and brood. He's over in the other corner watching everybody play. He shakes his head and drinks more coffee, feeling superior...but oddly lonely. He decides that if he broods a little bit more noticable, perhaps somebody will want to play with him because he's obviously smart and cool. Scherazade comes over to show him how much paste she can eat in one sitting. she polishes off a few crayons as well and beams, showing a technicolor smile, sure she has impressed him. Constantine looks disgusted and runs away to tell Nanny.
Baby Alexis is patiently rebuilding, her little brother Max joining her...Ooops! Zariya goes crashing through most of the new block castle when Rory shoves her.
Baby Pepper picks the lock on the crib prisoning her and Jada and they both run back into the fray. Jada decides to go kick her brother, Whitley. Pepper bops Exthian for looking up skirts. He decides she's really cute when she's scratched up and looking ticked off. He starts teasing her and makes her chase him around the nursery.
Laszlo notices this and decides to stop it by telling Exthian that he can be Friar Tuck instead. After all Dunstree is ruining it by planning on buying all the poor their own jawbreaker! Laszlo tells Pepper she doesn't have to be Maid Marion, she can be Little John if she likes. She thinks this is better because it means she gets to have a fight with Laszlo and doesn't have to wear dresses. Aura says she can play Maid Marion instead, but Laszlo says he won't kiss his sister.
Alexis is rebuilding her Amber City again...and she's nearly got it complete...Oh, no...the ball Zariya was throwing at Rory bounces through the harbour area, flattening it.
Baby Scherazade is having hysterics in the middle of the floor because nobody is paying attention to her and all the paste she ate is making her feel sick. Baby George walks in then and gives her his bottle to help. It's full of gin that he's stolen from Grandfather's desk. They sit down and have a drunken conversation that makes sense to each other and nobody else.
It's right about then that Nanny walks back in and gives them all their cookies and milk. Everbody gets milk, but the number of cookies you get depends on how hard you made Grandfather laugh.
