Rayn is the daughter of a goldrider, Rachel, rider of Lirinth the Golden. She grew up very close to her mother, although she
didn't get to see her neatly as much as she wanted to. She was the
oldest (from Lirinth's first flight) of several, most resulting from other
flights. Her father's name is J'ol, a bronzerider. Rachel was only 17 at
the time of Lirinth's first flight, 18 at Rayn's birth. She is now 36,
Rayn is 18. J'ol is now 40, he was 21 when Frith, his bronze, first
caught Lirinth. When she was twelve, Rayn recieved a large flitter egg
from her father and mother as a birthday gift. It hatched gold Pasque.
Two years later, at fourteen, Rayn was chosen to stand at a Hatching, but
was left standing. Two years later, she was Searched again, and almost
refused, but decided to try again, and Impressed gold Junith. She was
sixteen at the time.
Rayn is a very hard worker, having helped raise five siblings. She isn't
afraid to do what is right. She is often considered beautiful, but
doesn't flaunt it, and doesn't usually flirt unless her dragon is proddy,
which hasn't happened yet. She is serious, but is willing to take a
little time off to relax. She doesn't really have any special talents
besides being a dragonrider--she was never apprenticed into any crafts,
since it was expected that she would Impress since she was three years
old. Many people were very surprised when she didn't the first time.
