Admiral Kanaris

• Admiral Kanaris was born on Coruscant during the days of the Old Republic.  He obtained entry into the Fleet Naval academy based on merit, having been born to a poor family with no easier course of entry.
• Although he graduated in the middle of his class due to in general average grades, he exhibited superior point scores in Navel strategy, tactics and logistics and was
  immediately assigned as a Lieutenant to the staff section of a "hot zone" task force.
• Based on distinguished service there and in successively higher command grade assignments, he achieved the rank of Commander and it was at that point that he deliberately sought out the attention of a certain Republic Senator, last name Palpatine, who, like a number of the younger officers, detested the fallen state of the Republic and the vast corruption that had brought it there.
• Kanaris was part of the elite circle that helped plan the military aspects of Palpatine's ascent to power. As a reward, he was promoted to Admiral and immediately disappeared from the public scene.
• It is thought he was shifted to command a secret intelligence agency within the vast Imperial Administration, though there are those who insist he was butchered by a Palpatine concerned that his professional revolutionaries might usurp him.
• He is 5'1" and has blue eyes.  He is balding with blond hair still clinging to the back of his head in trace amounts.  He has a paunch and an unforgiving bleeding ulcer since he is always worrying about the worst problems facing the Empire. He is generally upset about something, and tough on subordinates who prefer to minimize the time spent in his presence.
• He is always heavily surrounded by bodyguards, since he is nearly incapable of defending himself.  For security reasons, he is never seen in public. His prior military record was classified, but the memories of those he served with were not purged and that is the basis for his prior history.
