Powers of the prince: The prince of a city gains three additional status traits: Exalted, Well Known, and Famous. These can never be lost while Prince.
The prince can remove one premanent status from someone at a cost of one temporary status per trait removed.
The Prince can grant Permanent status to any kindred at a cost of one temporary status for each trait granted. The Prince may also break the rule of only gaining one status trait per story, allowing a character to gain more than one. If the prince wishes to confer more than three status upon an individual in a single session it will cost the Prince one permanent status for each trait given above the third. It does not cost the prince any status to grant acknowledged, all the prince must do is simply recognise the characters presence in the city.
The prince may mete out punishments for any breaking of the traditions without loss of temporary or permanent status.
Seneschal:The Seneschal is the princes most trusted advisor.
Powers of the Seneschal:The Seneschal gains the following two status traits Cherished and Esteemed. These traits cannot be lost permantly while remaining in position.
The Seneschal acts in the princes stead when the Prince is away. When the prince is not present the Seneschal posses all of the powers of the Prince except that they do not apply to the prince. At any other time the desicions of the Seneschal may be overuled by the prince.
Primogen:The Primogen are the leaders of thier clan in the city. This generally falls upon the eldest member of the clan but often goes to the most wothy or powerful member of the clan. In some cases they may be the only member of thier clan in the city.
Powers of the primogen: The members of the primogen recieve the additional Status trait revered when they become primogen, as long as the character remains primogen they cannot lose this trait permantly
Primogen may grant or remove status to or from any member of thier clan at a cost of one temporary status for each trait granted or removed.
Whips: Whips have the same powers as the primogen but they do not gain an additional status trait
Sherrif: The Sherrif gains the additional status trait feared. While the position is held the trait cannot be lost permantly
The Powers of Sherrif:The Sherrif may demand that any kindred within the city accompany him for questioning and or judgement. Failure to do so causes the offender to lose one permanent status trait. In some cities the princes has made the Sherrif judge, jury and excecutioner in cases of a Masquerade breech.
The Sherrif is immune to the powers of the Keeper of the Elysium.
Keeper of the Elysium: The Keeper of Elysium maintains the Masquerade as well as the integrity of the Elysium.
Powers of the Keeper: The Keeper gains the additional status trait Honorable upon the attainment of this office. As long as they remain keeper this trait cannot be permantly lost.
The Keeper may immediatly remove one permanent status trait from ANY kindred he catches breaking either the Masquerade or Elysium. If he does not witness it himself then sufficient evidence must be brought forth. This removal costs the keeper nothing. The Sherrif is not immune if the status removal is for a masquerade violation.
Harpies: The Harpies are the purveyors of status within kindred society
Powers of the HarpiesThe leader of the harpies gains the status trait influential , this status cannot be permantly lost while the position is held.
The harpy automatically gains one temporary status trait from each member of the primogen to show thier support of the harpy. These traits may be used even aginst the ownes.
The harpy may remove one permanent status from a kindred who backs out of a boon or is part of a major scandal. There is no cost for this although there must be a grain of truth to the scandal. The harpy must produce some sort of evidence t a gathering of kindred , at which time the status is removed.
The harpy may restore status the he has removed at the cost of one temporary status per trait restored.
The leader of the harpies may sponsor lesser harpies by giving another kindred a status trait of his own. Lesser harpies may remove temporary status just as the head harpy removes permanent status, although thier leader may choose to make the loss permanent.
Archons:An Archon has the same powers as a justicar. They are similr to Seneschals as they have the same powers as a justicar , but they can be removed or overuled by a justicar at any time. They serve the Justicars and are the enforcers of the Camarilla. Often they will be sent in the place of a Justicar if the justicar does not wish to attend to the task themself.
