Challenges are run by first bidding a trait (as above) then those involved play paper ,rock, scissors. With the winner winning the challenge. In the case of a tie, each player counts the number of remaining traits and the one with the most traits remaining wins the challenge.
There are several different types of challanges. There are Physical Challenges. These involve combat and use physical traits. Social challenges use social traits and Mental challenges use mental traits. Each of these challenges are used in different situations.
Status: Your character will have status. This represents your position and importance in Vampiric society. Status is reflected in Traits such as Feared, Well Known, influential, and Revered. You may also engage in a status challenge. This is done by bidding status traits as normal and paper, rock, scissors. however if the person you arechallenging has less status than you they may not resist and you automatically lose the challenge, unless you sre not willing to risk all your traits and they can match your bid. If this happens the challenge procedes as normal.
If you lose a challenge then the trait or traits that you bid are lost for the remainder of the evening and must be checked off on your character sheet. Traits may be regained by discipline use or by spending a willpoer trait.
Static challenges: These challenges are run as normal but there are no traits bid.
Blood Traits: The number of these that you have is based on your generation. They can be used to fuel disciplines, heal wounds.
Willpower: Willpower is also based on your generation and can be used to resist Frenzy, resist disciplines and to regain lost traits.
The Storytellers are like director or umpires. They are almost always right and arguing with them for long periods or on a regular basis can get you thrown out of a game. We don't like to do this so please be civilized and remain clam and we won't have any problems.
