The Nova Class Patrol Corvette is a staple of the Caledonian Space Navy.
12 units have been constructed. The most famous of the class, CSN 1077,
Starfire, was destroyed by Solomani-supported pirates in the Skye System
on 179-1124 while engaging an asteroid strongpoint unassisted. Only 37
of the crew survived the engagement. To honor CSN Starfire, the Admiralty
has decreed that the new class of medium cruisers under developement has
been renamed the Starfire Class, with the first unit due off the way in
1127. This unit will also be called CSN Starfire and carry the same hull
number.
Although of a lower technological developement than Imperial units, the
Nova Class is a proven fighting design, and the 11 remaining units can be
seen wherever you can find Caledonian nationals. High Guard Stats
