Winter’s Dance

Looking at the clear starry sky

With the cold winter wind about me

Sending a chill to my bones

And the very core of my soul

When gazing at the moon so full

I heard a sound in the clearing with me

Looking across the field I saw her

Dressed in a white gown that flowed free atop the snow

With long hair of fire red that moved with the gentle wind

As she gracefully moved across the frozen snow

I fell for her beauty so bold

And she can to my side, taking my hand

I felt the warm touch evade the soul

Bringing her close to me we danced under the moon

We danced all night to the sound of the winter’s night

The gentle wind the song of winter birds

And the rhythm of our two hearts together

As we were dancing under the blazing moon

I closed my eyes and wished this to be no dream

Then I felt the ground leave us

And as I opened my eyes I looked in to hers

I looked in to those angel green eyes

Taking my breath away

As I kissed her rosy red lips

I felt a fire starting to grow

Starting to spread through out my body

From my head to my feet

Then as I looked at her she whispered thank you

Putting her head on my shoulder as we dance all rest of the night

But as the moonset and the sun begin to rise

She let go of me and ran to the woods

But as she reached the forest edge

She looked back once more

And whispered to the wind "I love you"
