Prom?
What is the big deal of this prom thing?
All the hassle and confusion that we go through
To have the perfect night
With the perfect person
I mean the hard part is asking
To get the courage to ask the one from your dreams
To go up and ask her out
With out braking down and losing it
Then if she says yes there is the price
The tickets, suit, and what ever else is needed
As well as the flowers that takes her breath away
For what a couple of hours with the one you love
Then that day all the running around
Driving up to her house with a dozen white roses
And meeting her parents for the first time
As well as the threats from her dad
Then as she descends the stairs from her room
You are lost in the moment of first site
The site of her beauty freezes you solid
Making you wish that this be no dream
As you enter the dance with the music playing
Playing so softly it puts you quickly in her arms
As you are dancing with her so peacefully
You about die from this night
Then looking in to her eyes
Those soft emerald green eyes
And as temptation sets in as you kiss her
Kissing her on her sweet red silky lips
As you come out of your tender moment
She looks at you the same way you look at her
She looks at you with pure love
A love that is a dead image
As the rest of the night goes on
You and her are in your privet world
Away from the world worries
Away from the pain, sorrow, and grief
In a world were it is only you and her
And growing love that is within
A growing love that out lives all
A love that is truly pure.
When the party is over and you take her home
You pull her to you not wanting to let go
Not wanting to let this night end
And become normal again
As you kiss her good night, she leans in and whispers some thing
She whispers ever so softly in to your ear
Thank you and I will never forget to night
Entering the house she looks out the window as you leave
And you knew that tonight will live forever
Live forever in the hearts of us two
In the hearts of love so pure
In the heart of prom lovers
