I Do
Looking down the aisle of the ancient church
So large, so old, still standing
Filled with family and friends for this special day
This day the start of my life with you
Roses strung out all over the walls
As if they were the love I feel for you
Strong, young, and beautiful
And will all ways show their beauty when the hard times are gone
As the music started so soft and sweet
The bride’s maids coming down in there pink dresses
Coming down with there escorts arm in arm
Then they go their own way
The music shifted and I saw you there in the doorway
Dressed in a flowing white dress of velvet and lace
Looking like an angel that came from heaven
Oh God must have wept to lose you
Then as you can to my side and tuck my hand
I looked at your hand, to the engagement ring
The one I put on your finger that stormy night
And that night my life changed
And as the pastor started the wedding
I got lost in your image
Then I felt a nudge and the pastor asked again
Will you take her forever in heath?
But before He finished I said yes
Then he said them to you
Do you
But you said yes before he finished as well
I now pronounce you man and wife
I pulled you close to me
And kissed your sweet lips
And thanked god the love you and I feel for each other.
