Heated emotions I felt tonight
My heart ripped from my chest
From the one I thought loved me
But it was only a lie

Sadness lead to hate
Hate to a passion that I could not control
She dumped me for some one else
She trashed my life for some one else

But then you can and took my hand
And dragged me to the floor
You made me dance with you
Trying to calm me

But then some thing happened that nether of us expected
I looked in to your eyes
Those deep blue eyes
And the world seemed lost

I thought why I never saw you before
Was I that full of myself
Was I a jerk not to look beyond myself?
Why did I ever treat you the way I did?

As the song ended and we got drinks
She came and started to make fun of you
She mocked you and made you a laughing stock
And you ran off

The anger flaring up again
Blinding me
And before I knew it
Her dress of white became a dress with red wine streaks

I went and fond you sitting under the stars
You were looking at then
with tears in your eyes
Brushing them away I drew you close

we talked the rest of the night
And as the dance ended I asked you out
"Why?" You asked
But the only thing I said was with a kiss

A night of heated emotions
Were I felt passions so true
Love and hate
Both so strong

As we left the dance we saw her with her new love
But she was shot down in a flash
And was laughed at
Because of what I did

She came at me with her fist up
But you stepped in front and knocked her out
And we walked arm in arm to my car
Leaving her to her lonely miserable self
