BloodMoonRules
There are simple rules that
everyone must follow in the BloodMoonRPG.
1. No Flaming!
2. In order to begin role playing in the BloodMoonRPG, you must first send in your character profile, with the character's name, Clan/Family choice, and a description, as well as pictures of the character, to BloodMoon. This profile, *must* be approved by the list owners--this approval will come in the form of an e-mail *and* a message from onelist confirming your addition to the list. You *must* send the profile to the list, before, you may begin role playing. The list owners will get your profile on the appropriate page as soon as is humanly possible. Please choose your clan wisely, because the list owners will not grant inquiries
to change clans (unless you are going from Watcher to Vamp, or have been a very
bad girl/boy, and must be banished to the lair of the Vom Blut). At any rate *the list owners must be notified of any planned clan change made by any member of the RPG* It must be approved. Period. This includes the only allowed forms of clan change such as vamping of a character or killing off of a character.
3. BloodMoon is a modern day
*vampire* RPG. Therefore, we will allow some (but not excessive)
adult language, violence, and even sex. As long as there are warnings in
the subject heading that there is [adult contect], or an [NC-17] part. This way those
who do not want to read the letter, do not have to.
4. BloodMoon takes place primarily
in Los Angeles, California. Some ancestrial homes, however may
be in Italy, etc. (these must be approved by the list owners).
Make certain that when you role play with a character, that the two of you are
in the same city. There is not a magical port-hole between LA and
Italy that allows 2 characters to interact in the same room.
5. Main characters (meaning
anyone with a profile), may not be killed off--unless, a) you have express
written permission from them, because they are tired of role playing, b)
you have some way to bring them back to life, or c) other arrangements have
been made with the list owners. But the list owners must be notified of this death, and they must approve the story line. Period.
6. When replying to a message,
please make certain to include some of the original message to which you are replying.
This part may either be above, or below your addition, as long as we can figure out to what you are replying.
7. If you want to role play
with a certain character, please put their name in the subject line (for example: ATTN: JOHN DOE), so
that they know to pay close attention to your post.
8. You may not role-play for
other characters, without their permission. This includes writing dialogue for them, as well as writing actions for them. Many of our members have thought long and hard in developing their characters. No one should be able to undermind their time spent, by sending a message to the list that is off character, of which the character had no prior knowledge. Prior knowledge does not include sending them your part two seconds before you send it to the list. A character must know well in advance if you are planning to role-play for them, and you must have their consent.
9. Keeping in mind that you may not role-play for another character, you may however, act toward them. For example, Marcqean, may kiss Thera, however she does not neccesarily have to kiss him back. Just as in life, you can not control what is done *to* you, but may control what you do in *reaction* to another's actions. If you do not want to be in a certain situation, simply walk away, and resume your regular scheduled Role-playing. You will only be out one post, and the character will know that you do not want to pursue whatever storyline you just left. However, if this person is constantly attempting to put you in the same postition, over and over again, please bring it to the List Owners' attention. We can and will take care of the problem.
10. Keeping in mind that originally all profiles are the property of their respective authors, players who do not at the very least, make the list owners aware of their departure from our game before they unsub, give up said rights to their profiles. We extend many courtesies to our members. This is one in a small line of considerations that we ask from our members, in return. In some cases, we may play the characters to give them an acceptable 'out' from our game. Other times, other members wish to play these characters, and we oblige these requests.
11. This RPG is for entertainment
purposes ONLY. The list owners are not real vampires, nor are most of
the members of BloodMoon. Members are not encouraged to become vampires,
but, hey, everyone has their own free will, right?
Now, these are simple and basic
enough. If anyone breaks them they, will get three warnings, and
then be unsubbed. Please do not put the list owners in that postion,
because we want to have a good time. And we want everyone to enjoy
the time they spend in our RPG.
