Summery: Luke's turning as seen through the eyes of Yoda and Ben. A/N: GRAH! I have four stories going and I write this little short one. Shows what plot bunnies can do. The title was taken from Ben's line: "That boy is our last hope." And once I had the title, the story sorta followed. First time that's happened. Interesting, yes? Enjoy! "That boy is our last hope." Ben said sadly as Luke flew off. "No," Yoda stated. "There is another." Ben was startled. "Who?" "The sister of Skywalker." "Luke's sister?! Why didn't I know about her?" "For safety, you must understand. Chance there was that find Luke Vader would. Turn Luke would and force her identity from you he could. But now, dead you are and risk there is not." "Master, I've been one with the Force for almost three years now!" Yoda shrugged. "Came up the subject never has." Yoda awoke as a shudder shook the Force. "Master Yoda." Ben's form materialized out of the air in front of Yoda's bed. "What was that?" Yoda closed his eyes. "A great loss the Jedi have suffered." Confusion crossed Ben's face. "What great loss? I didn't feel anything even remotely like this when Vader killed the Jedi. Even when Alderaan was destroyed, the pain did not even rival this." "No, lost our last hope we have." "I don't understand." "Skywalker has turned to the Dark." "And what of his sister?" Ben dared to hope. Maybe all was not lost. Yoda closed his eyes against the pain. "Dead she will be soon. No more need for her Vader has. Brought him Skywalker she has. Killed she will be. Possible it is that kill her himself Skywalker will." "But why?" Ben tried to understand and failed miserably. "Why would Luke turn?" "Your fault it is!" Yoda glared at Ben in sudden exasperation. "Told him the truth you should have. Then happen none of this would have!" With that, the small Jedi Master turned and walked to his hut. Once there, he turned slightly. "And old I am, Obi-Wan. No more apprentices can I train. Defeated the Jedi are." Finis 9/18/00
