He leans back slightly and speaks with a tired voice, "I have read the news reports of the various incidents over the past few weeks, and I feel there are many matters which we have discuss. We must collecticely work to assuage the tensions that continue to threaten the stability of the planet." Ultra Magnus glances toward the Militant Warlord, "Of particular concern to me is the recent 'attack' on you be the Autobot Snarl..." Obsidian leans back in his chair slightly, folding his arms and listening intently Chikome-Ollin nods in agreement, his face scowling a bit in rememberance of the event. "That is our main reason to be here today." Ultra Magnus frowns slightly with a glimmer in his deep blue optics. They darken slightly as he says, "The Dinobots have been ... unique ... in their setting and handling over the years. They are some of the most powerful forces we have, yet their temperment is not easily controlled. Their intellectual capabilities and reasoning are not exactly state of the art, and they can be particularly prone to statements which they may find insulting." Obsidian nods briefly "It seems as though they do not have a firm understanding of the Terrans and Militants, and fail to realize the extent of their tempers" Ultra Magnus says calmly, "I am just thankful that the other Autobots present were able to prevent him from continuing his attack upon you. Let me assure you that his actions are not representative of the Autobots as a whole."" Marissa taps her fingers along the table a moment, "Ultra Magnus, the last I was told, the Dinobots were forbidden to ever come to Earth after the occurances of last Fall." Chikome-Ollin's thoughts drift for a moment before he addresses Magnus. " Obsidian hmms "That is something to consider, if it has been forgotten. Unfortunately it seems as if they are they ones who have came to the rescue many a time" Obsidian sighs "As much as we need them around, I doubt they'll respond to any lessons in conduct and manners" Chikome-Ollin shakes his head to Obsidian. "That is unacceptable! If these dinobots continue their behavior, it could easily threaten the Non-Agression act you've worked to establish with us." Obsidian nods "I think it would be wise to have them return to Cybertron" Ultra Magnus says calmly, "We have not the resources to physically restrain them, so our only acceptable solution may be to issue a command against Snarl banning him from Earth." Obsidian says, "It may be wise to do so with all the dinobots...to prevent further ... incidents." Ultra Magnus nods his head slowly, "Perhaps." Turning his head toward Ollin he then says, "Although it is rumored that the attack was not entirely unprovoked." Chikome-Ollin says, "You cannot keep discipline among your own troops?" He shakes his head in disgust. "I am disappointed to hear your troops are allowed to run free without restraint when it suits them." He looks up to return Magnus' gaze. "The dinobot was rude and hostile towards me from my arrival on the scene, Commander Fairbourne can attest to that. We did exchange words, though I merely repeated back what it had said before to me and walked away right before it charged."" Ultra Magnus nods toward Ollin, "I can understand your frustration, Warlord. Troublesome soldiers are an unfortunate, but sometime neccessary, aspect of any military force. Restraints placed into effect do not have much effect when they cannot be enforced. A higher-ranking Autobot should have been contacted immediately. I do not know why Snarl was allowed to so carelessly roam into the exchange." Ultra Magnus says calmly, "I do not in the slightest doubt the large responsibility which can be placed on Snarl. I want to know what I, as commander for Autobot Earth forces, may do to attempt to placate the tight situation in which I now find myself."" Chikome-Ollin glances briefly over at Marissa, then turning back to Magnus. "I can only speak for myself, but I would like nothing less than to never catch sight of this Snarl upon Terran soil again. Considering the outcome of the situation, my being injured allowing Commander Fairbourne and I to discover the nature of those masquerading as our troops, that is all I will ask of you, and will consider the matter closed." Marissa looks up at Ultra Magnus, "Ultra Magnus, I had thought the Dinobots were forbidden as a whole, except for Swoop, because of their destructive tendencies, to remain upon cybertron and not come to Earth Marissa , "" Ultra Magnus's optics flicker for a moment. He leans forward and lets his hands rest quietly atop the table. "I am in accord with that solution. Disruptive troops can be a liability, and even though the absence of some personnel will hurt our effectiveness against the Decepticons, if it is a decision that will help to calm your concerns, I am in favor of it." Ultra Magnus turns his head toward Marissa and speaks calmly, "A while ago, yes, Commander. However, the increased intensity of the Decepticon attacks required us to strengthen our forces stationed here on Earth." Chikome-Ollin smiles faintly. "I would consider the population of this planet feeling safe from Autobots outweighs the loss of effectiveness against the Decepticons one of your numbers would have. If the average citizen sees an Autobot attacking a Head of State on the news, do you not think they will in turn fear you as well even more?" Ultra Magnus nods his head slowly, "Indeed, but I must advise exercising caution in the presence of such volatile personnel. The fact is, we all have our troublesome troops, but not all of us have the resources to merely transport them to another planet when a disruption is caused. Snarl no doubt acting entirely out of line, but he would not have done so without any provocation." Chikome-Ollin hides a scowl, shaking his head and not wanting to get into an argument. "I will assume this matter is settled and closed, then?" Ultra Magnus squints his optics, then concedes, "This matter, yes...although there are several others which I would like to discuss. Perhaps I shall save them for a later time." Chikome-Ollin smiles faintly. "You have me here now, might as well get them out of the way." Transmission from Scattershot: So...whazzis 'bout you wanting t'talk to me? You transmit a message to Scattershot: Several matters, actually. Please allow me a few moments to complete my discussions with Commanders Fairbourne and Ollin. Transmission from Scattershot: Oh, right. Din't know you were in somethin'. Ultra Magnus says calmly, "The increased insenity of Decepticon attacks recently has caused me great concern. Unless the various forces here on Earth can somehow unite in a cooperative effort against them, the Decepticon will continue to throw us into disarray." You call into base to find the location of your comrades... Ultra Magnus smiles politely, "Well, I thank you for peacefully discussing this matter with me, Warlord. I apologize profusely for the ignorant and irresponsible behavior of Snarl. I assure you he will be swiftly dealt with."
