These are pictures I have taken for a photography class. The ones exhibited on this page so far are from my 3rd attempt. I will be putting up some black and white shots soon (The picture of the cherub below looks like it is black and white, but that is just because my scanner screwed up.) If you are at all interested in these photographs, email me and I can send you a print. The scans don't really do the shots much justice (they look much clearer on the actual print). If you are looking for a shot of something in particular, send me an email and I'll see what I can do. |

This shot (to the left) was taken on the grounds surrounding the courthouse in my home town. I loved how the color of the leaf contrasted with the deep green of this bench. I had to take a few shots of this one because the wind was pretty strong that day and it kept blowing off of the bench. Luckily, this shot turned out nicely. |

I really love this shot to the right. I was driving around the Macomb cemetary (so I'm a bit morbid) and I saw this beautiful statue as I was about to leave. I tromped through the snow to get to it and took 2 shots. I like the other angle a bit better, but it wasn't as sharp as this one (although you can't really tell because of the poor quality of the scan). I will probably go back and try to get a better shot from the other angle. But, I really like this one. |

The story behind this shot (at left) is that I had 1 shot left on my roll so I had my friend, Chad, pose in the library wear I work so I could give him the roll of film to get it developed. There are some book shelves in the background which you can see off to the left, but, I felt that they took away from the content of the picture, so I cut them out when I scanned it. Overall, a really great shot. |

This picture (to the right) is actually in color, believe it or not. Unfortunately, the only real color in this picture is in the distant background so the scanner picked it up as black and white. I still think it's really cool looking in black and white. This is a fairly old statue of a cherub I saw one day in the Carthage cemetary. I really think that statues like this look beautiful (even though some people call me morbid for taking pictures in cemetaries). |

This shot was also taken on the grounds surrounding the Carthage Courthouse. It's kind of funny because most people that I showed the picture to were surprised to find out that there was a sundial in Carthage even though most of them have lived there all their lives. I loved the look of the shadow that was cast across the dial, although my teacher thought I should have focused on the entire sundial instead of just the center, but I like this better. |

This shot (at right) is a shot of the courthouse in Carthage in the late afternoon. I liked how the sun looked as it peeked around the corner of the building so I whipped out my trusty camera and got it on film. And yes, I did the little circle on purpose for anyone that was wondering. |
