A Siskoid by any other name #11

Part 2 of the Enterprise irregulars! Last time, we looked at Yar, Barclay, Ogawa and Pulaski and checked out their "-oids". (Regardless of how that sounds, -oids are actually skewed versions of regular characters from Trek, here listed in order to guess at potential AUs and Personnas coming up in our game.) Three more Enterprise-D inhabitants to do: Guinan, Alexander and Ro Laren.

First, Picard's old... what? lover? schoolchum? "beyond friendship, beyond family"-person?:
GUINOIDS

Two already exist as cards:
1-Guinan: The non-oid from Fajo Collection.
2-Madam Guinan: A definite -oid from "Time's Arrow".

Plenty left:
3-Nexus Guinan: When Guinan was ripped out of the Nexus, she left an echo of herself there. This echo seems aware of goings-on in the 24th century, but actually comes from the 23rd. We have yet to see the Nexus Doorway, but if Personnel could conceivably enter and exit this Nexus, this Guinan (conceptually) couldn't leave. Maybe her abilities would affect Nexused Personnel like she did Picard in Generations: Personnel gets sucked into Nexus (score points), but unless this Guinan is there, they cannot leave again. (No liscencing agreement.) Note also the appearance of the 23rd century Guinan herself in "Generations". Similar except she'd be Non-Aligned for sure.

4-El-Aurian rascal: From "Rascals", the really young Guinan. There's no way, with the Racals dilemma floating around, that these cards will be made. Though a Guinan with Youth would be a hoot.

5-Gloria: Guinan's holo-Personna in the Dixon Hill stories. Aside from the fact that she doesn't know what to do with herself in these mysteries, she doesn't exhibit much in the way of new abilities. She could be like every other Guinan though, and nullify "name-that-icon" Dilemmas. And let me name the icon: Holographic Dilemmas (you know they're comin'!)

Alexander Rozhenko isn't exactly a crewmember, but he did live on the Enterprise for a number of years:
ALEXANDROIDS

Two are already in the cards:
1-Premiere Alexander: Not an -oid.
2-K'mtar: The Alexandroid from the future, where Alexander becomes a great diplomat (is that still fated to happen?)

That leaves us two more:
3-Deputy Rozhenko: From "A Fistful of Datas", the holo-western show. Alexander's holo-Personna goes well with Sheriff Worf (he can probably even download him) and Troi's Durango. I wonder holo-worlds will be cards unto themselves (sort of like Time Locations). If so, some Personnas might be able to download them to any holodeck, probably the Personna responsible from creating the program. That would mean the Deputy here would download the western setting, Sherlock Holmes(Data) the Doyle mysteries, etc.

4-DS9 Alexander: Fully Klingon, this Alexander is sure to be made in the DS9 expansion. But how will he look? He seems inept at everything. His one cool ability is "rabbit's foot". Could this feature be translated as boosted ship (or crew) stats where he is present? That might make him a neat ship enhancement, usable even though his own stats would be mediocre. Or better yet, an Edo Vessel ability that makes other ships miss whichever ship he's on. Add a "can't use Klingon cards" for flavor (Right of Vengence, Death Yell, Honor Challenge, etc.)

And my personal favorite:
ROIDS
Ensign Ro only has her baseline model available up til now:
1-Premiere Ro Laren: ... and it's not an -oid.

The rest then:
2-Lieutenant Ro: Everyone thinks this Personna should be made. When Ro came back to TNG in "Preemptive Strike", she'd made it through Tactical Training making her an excellent choice for SECURITY as well as whatever equivalent of Tal Shiar (Starfleet Intelligence?) the Federation has. And we've seen too many Intelligence operatives in DS9 to deny her this.

3-Ro Laren, Maquis: The other Ro from "Preemptive Strike". If one gets to be made, so should the other (or combine them as a dual-affiliation Personnel). We still don't know how the Maquis will work, but a Ro Laren on their side would help them greatly. Bonuses to attacking the Enterprise-D? Why not. Other than that, pretty standard multi-skilled character.

4-Bajoran rascal: From "Rascals", just like Guinan. My opinion on the subject haven't changed in the intervening paragraphs.

5-Conundrum Ro: Usually, I've skipped the Conundrumed bridge crew, but Ro deserves a special mention. You see, in the episode, when the amnesia hit, she immediately presumed she was high up in the ship's hierarchy. Ro with a Command star, perhaps even Leadership x2. No, this doesn't have a hope in heaven of getting made, but here at Siskoid Central, we aim for completeness above common sense.

6-Phased Ro: Like Phased Geordi (hmm, dual-personnel card?), we saw invisibles, intangible Ro in "The Next Phase". Like Geordi, she would be immune to Dilemmas mentionned on the Interphase Generator card, be only reportable if the Generator was in play, be unable to cooperate with unphased personnel... and like Geordi, would never be made. I take my cue from the Romulan Parem, who isn't phased at all. (Sob!)

7-Bajoran Ro: Yes she's always Bajoran, but this one is actually Bajoran affiliation. Take her from before she was Starfleet or better yet, as the Ro that never was - she was slated to be the Major Kira character on Deep Space 9 before Michelle Forbes(who plays her) refused the role. CGI her a Bajoran uniform and you get a one-of-a-kind Personnel!

As always, I respond well to criticism, suggestions, el al. Did I miss any -oids for these characters? How about TNGers that I've (in your opinion) unfairly omitted from these articles. (Miles O'Brien to be examined in the DS9 installments, so don't fret.) Next up, I jump squarely into Deep Space Nine (yay!). Gonna need help people! Wish me luck.
