MuscleMan Gym

Owner: J.C. O'Rourke
Function: A privately run place to work out and train.
Favorite hangout: Jocks, StreetFighters

MuscleMan Gym is a well-equipped and comfortable place for those with training in mind. It's a two-story building with facilities for a wide range of physical activity. For example, it has a full weight room (machines and free weights), a therapy room, three basketball courts, four racquetball courts, two boxing rings, and a fenced-in field for soccer, football, or anything else. O'Rourke rents out areas to teams and dojos at fair prices, and occasionally holds free workshops. The gym remains open twenty-four hours a day, but each section is closed for one hour a day for maintenance and cleaning. The Muscle man gym has at least a three-person staff at all times, during rush the number balloons up to eight. The fields are well-lit and carefully maintained. Everyone must show their membership card to use the facilities (1-year membership: $450). The neighborhood isn't a prime location, but the gym is left unscathed (partially out of respect for O'Rourke and partially because of the large numbers of fighters on the grounds). It's a home away from home for athletes of all stripes and calibers.
        J. C. O'Rourke was a professional boxer. While he was never a superstar, he did make enough money to buy and revitalize the MuscleMan gym. He continues to train, teach, and exercise, despite his age (he's 57). He's proud of his record on and off the canvas, and he keeps an eye out for promising fighters. Unlike many of his colleagues, he abhors mechanic, virtual, and chemical methods of training. Currently, his favorite fighter is a 17 year-old named Huey 'Slowstep' Tassman. While he has avoided sticking his neck out against the ISA, he has been known to turn a blind eye and to lose vital information pertaining to 'terrorist' activities.
