OBI-WAN "BEN" KENOBI

Obi-wan is one of the few Jedi to escape the purge by the Emperor and Darth Vader. By changing his name to Ben and moving to the desert planet Tatooine he could escape the Dark Side's attention and watch over his former student's child, Luke Skywalker. After the Empire killed Luke's Aunt and Uncle, Obi-wan decided to take the boy with him to help Princess Leia in her fight against the Empire. Though he only had a short time to train him, Obi-wan will forever influence the way Luke sees the Force.

DID YOU KNOW?...Sir Alec Guinness agreed to make a reappearance in Return of the Jedi only after George Lucas agreed to giving him a small billing, explaining that he didn't want one of his fans to come to the movie to see him and be disappointed.
