Markus was one of the first British Gangrel to agree to the formation of the Camarilla, and has been a stalwart enforcer of Kindred Law - even in instances where such Law went against him. This attitude and his unswerving efforts to contain the depredations of the Changing Breeds on the local population - kine and Kindred alike - have served to greatly enhance his standing among his Clan and his peers.
Markus is described by those who have encountered him as a tall, slender man with deep-set eyes and great energy. His mannerisms have been likened to those of the crows that continually attend his presence, but other than sharp features and sharper talons in place of his finger and toenails, surprisingly few obviously animalistic features are in evidence.
Markus is said to know pretty much everything that occurs in his fief - though the Nosferatu in the area have the real edge in gossip and secrets - and has a relatively large base of support in the area. This support comes from his own brood and selected mortal descendants of his brood in the area, many of whom work on the moors; as well as from local Brujah who see him as a better alternative to the Ventrue and Tremere.
Markus' attitude towards the ruling Ventrue court in nearby Plymouth is ambivalent at best. He has been heard to mutter that he was here before them and he will still be here after them.
On the other hand, his contempt for the Tremere is no secret. Markus still remembers what happened to Saulot; and while he may acknowledge that the wizards have a place in the Camarilla and the support of many, this does not prevent the occasional disappearance of wizards engaged in field research in suspected Garou territories...
