Miniature WarGames Terrain;
WHAT CAN I USE FOR TERRAIN IN PLAYING MY GAMES?
You can Buy Terrain Pieces from GeoHex, Higher Ground, Games WorkShop, But there is usually alot of $$ involved with this.
A lot of gamers make there own terrain
Depending on the scale you intend to use, there is a lot you can do with styrofoam, old outdoor carpet, card board, felt, house hold containers etc.
You can get some things from a railroad hobby shop as well, such as lichen for brush , tree sets, or even make molds of ruff terrain.
I will not list how to make these items now, but will point you here. >
This is what I use for my terrain:
An 8'x4' 3/4" plywood mounted on a sturdy table. I cover the board with green felt. I use 5/8" styrofoam for hills, I bought a couple of tree sets, and lichen bags for the under brush. I use
oak tag for building roads, and other colors of felt to represent light/heavy wooded area's, rivers, fields and on and on.
