We first meet Ethan in his Halloween Costume shop where Buffy, Willow, Xander and most
everyone else in Sunnydale go to get their costumes. He has bigger plans for Sunnydale
than just supplying them with costumes though. He is there to put a spell on everyone to
turn them into whatever costume they are wearing. And, that is just what he does too.
Buffy and the gang were signed up by their principal to go and take some local kids
trick-or-treating who didn't have anyone to take them and costumes where mandatory
of the high school students who where walking with them. While they are out with the
kids the spell takes over. Willow turns into the ghost she was dressed up as, Xander
turns into a soldier and Buffy turns into an 18th century girl. Which basically put them
defenseless against any bad guy that came after them. Xander got to take over the role as
tuff guy and Willow got a little tuff herself. When the gang gets to Buffy's house and safe in there,
Willow leaves to go get Giles to help. they find out that whats going on must revolve around
the costume shop they got their costumes from so Willow and Giles go there. As soon as
Giles sees who it is behind it, he orders Willow out of the shop. We then find out that Giles
and this man go back a while and Giles beats the shit out of him till Ethan tells him to break
the spell he had to break the statue it originated from. So he does and everyone goes back to
normal and when Giles returns to the shop the next day he sees that Ethan has disapeared.
The next time we see Ethan is when a demon from Giles and Ethan's past comes back to....you
though I'd say haunt right? Well-your wrong!=) He comes back to kill them and their friends
they invoked him with. Even though Buffy wanted to pumell him, to protect Giles she had to
protect him, but instead of any protecting happening, Ethan knocked Buffy out and when she came to,
he put a tatoo on her that would make it easy for the demon to go after her and not himself. Well,
needless to say, they beat the monster and Ethan disapears again.
