Elder Secrets Part II: Travel Far In a shrouded gathering, a small band of young Maximals and Predacons listen intently to a figure whose size dwarfs all but the largest of the group.
"Thank you for coming. I know what a great and terrible risk you have all taken by coming here."
One of the Maximals, perhaps the youngest and most enthusiastic, steps forward.
"We have heard stories about you for countless Cycles. We all made a vow. We all realize that, no matter what happens because of tonight, the consequences could never outweigh the truth that we seek."
A fire burned in the eyes of the Maximal, a hunger that the great figure had thought extinguished in his race. He swept his gaze over the entire group of Predacons and Maximals, acknowledging that same fire shining brightly in every optic sensor.
"You speak wisely for one so young. It is a good sign of your ... potential. Now, I ask all of you one last time. Do you wish to hear the tale?"
As one, the heads of the small gathering before him indicate yes. The question was one of formality, for if they did not want to hear what he had to say, they would have never taken the extreme risk of locating him in the first place.
"Then listen closely. The future of our race begins tonight, with you, my young friends." 1
