P-Files #PF.AF-01: Anomalous Faces
Very often, ghost researchers have received photographs containing apparently anomalous faces. The people taking the photographs did not see the face initially when they took the photographs, and only saw it when looking at the print later. In many cases it is hard to determine that the faces are actually there because sometimes they appear to be `accidential' images formed by leaves or shadows etc. However, such explanations may not necessarily be satisfactory for those images which have appeared on film and which clearly are definable human faces. Many images either perceived by witnesses or recorded on film represent only the faces of subjects, dead and sometimes alive. If the image is being created or projected by someone else, the face of the person they are thinking about is most likely to be the part of them that will be projected, or at least it will be the most significant image in their mind. If the face is somehow projected by the person whose face is seen, the reason might be as identification of the `sender'. There was a famous case happened in Spain, the anomalous faces appeared on the kitchen floor of a small house in 1971 and for several years thereafter. A mark was seen on the kitchen floor which over seven days developed into a face. Concerned by the image, the son destroyed it but another new face began to form. That image was cut out of the floor and put `on display'. The floor was repaired, but new faces appeared. Over time many faces appeared, along with other images such as crosses. Most extraordinary a face which appeared in 1972 was later believed by many to have changed its expression. One suggestion was that the house was built over an old cemetery. Another suggests that the faces were the `creation' of the owner's subconscious. The faces may have been projected thought form, representations perhaps of her prayers or fears. Another theory suggests that a projected thought form impressed in the film, generated by either the photographer, the person whose image appears or a third party. The imprint of a mental image onto photographic material is known as Thoughtgraphy. Last but not least, there are some who believe that anomalous faces were actually telepathic message. There was a case whereby an image appeared in the air in front of another person, apparently fluttering as if in the wind or as if impressed on an invisible flag blowing in the wind. He believed the image was a telepathic message because the face in the image is a girl he knew very well. He wrote to the girl's family but was told (assured) that there was no problem. He remained unconvinced and visited the family, he then discovered that at the time he had seen the face, the girl had a very serious argument with her family and had left the home to seek him instead.
