First the bed and then the dresser and then to the bedside table.
Whomp! went the pictures and crash! went the lamp, and I screamed if I was
able.
Dorothy was cute but she was kittenish to boot -- and
Sometimes, once a week or too, I wished she could be stable.
I wanted her cat-atonic, had to get her out of my way. - - Needed a
Gin 'n' tonic, just to get through the whole day.
From the bedroom to the kitchen, sounded like Pennsylvania Station. -- She
had
Four feet a-thunderin' without any provocation.
I thought that she was crazy and she thought I was crazy too, 'cause
I didn't like her catching things, didn't like her scratchin', and I
didn't take her out to the zoo.
I was cat-atonic, trying to keep out of her way. Needed
Gin 'n' tonic, just to get through the whole day.
'Twas five o-clock and I'd just set up and she knew I had a meeting.
She slunk through the door and with a twitch of her tail she knocked down
half the seating.
She was a swinging cat but now she's swinging from the ceiling.
I loved that cat, I loved her so, but she was endlessly defeating me.
Now she's cat-atonic, finally out of my way. I still need
gin 'n' tonic, just to get through the damned day.
