Loiosh Starcatcher

Novice

History:
Loiosh had the blessing of being the first of many children produced by his mother.  He was always her treasure and her darling as well as the only child that she actually put any effort or thought into raising.  His father, well his father was the first and only man to use his mother.  She used all the others.

Loiosh grew up on the streets, learning to beg when he could talk and learning to steal almost as soon as he could run.  He looked out for his other siblings when he could, but life did not make for cordial family relations.  There was too much profit that could be made if one did not have familial ties.  Most of his sibs went their own way, to the streets or to their graves with out a look back for family.  He earned the name "Starcatcher" on a particularly tricky theft.  He partner in crime was actually shot while on the room of a house and the coin that had been their goal was falling down to the street, most likely going to shatter.  Loiosh, in a rather desperate attempt caught the sparkling silver and both men, boys really, somehow escaped.  The drunken retelling of the story in a local bar was quite a sensation and the name stuck.

Loiosh has a reputation for remarkable luck when thieving, and his friends would joke it was a blessing from the Creator.  The twisting feeling in his stomach when his brilliant luck hit made him think it might be something else, but he never shared that thought with anyone else.

A few years ago, something happened that finally split him off from his mother, if not his sibs.  His mother tried to sell of one of his sisters to a local brothel.  The sister disappeared completely, with no rumor of what happened to her.  Caba had never been good at street life, but she had all but worshipped Loiosh and learned what few street tricks she had by following him around.  He did not step in when Dolag's men reclaimed the payment for Caba with his mother's life, something that he occasionally regrets.  The hovel became his, with no sibs old enough to challenge him for it remaining, and he still keeps an eye on the youngest, though at 13 they hardly need it.  Street brats tend to be self-sufficient fairly early on.

He was living from job to job, with no purpose in life when a certain crash of thunder brought his life abruptly to the Tower of Chasaline.

Physical Appearance and Personality:

Loiosh has dark brown hair that is normally pulled back into a ponytail or braid.  His green eye is the only sign of his late mother on his face, a trait that he shared with about half of his siblings.   He has only one eye, keeping the other covered with an eye patch.  The circumstance for the loss of his eye change with each telling and some people wonder if even he knows the truth.  His nose has been broken a few times and he has scars from various fights on his arms and hands.  His body tells the story of the rough life he has had, but the look in his eye says that he is still up for many more challenges.  When he finally admits that he can Channel and breaks his block (only when in danger for his life and it has to look like luck) he will be quite strong in Spirit and Fire, and about average in Water and Air and utterly miserable with Earth.  Earth is far to stable for a firebrand like himself.
