Appearance: Hylin has shaggy blond hair that tends to fall in his eyes more often than not. His eyes are a combination of blue and green, and tend to radiate a strange happiness at all times. He has perfectly white teeth that he would prefer to show off at every opportunity, but the perfect calm of an Aes Sedai usually forces him to do otherwise. He's not exactly tall, standing at about 5'8'', but he does have a strong build. He keeps his shape by Training with his pair of Warders at least once a week, sometimes more when he starts feeling restless. He tends to wear plain slacks and shirts, with the typical long coat of his native Andor.

Personality: Both a Ladies man and utterly faithful, Hylin manages to flirt while leaving each person with the knowledge that nothing will come of it. His goal in life is to have a good time, anything else is just a bonus. He enjoys teaching because Novice's and Accepted tend to be unpredictable and therefore present a certain type of challenge. Though a green, Hylin would usually prefer to stay out of a full scale battle, the odds of a one on one fight being more of his style. He is capable of being serious when the time calls for it, but it is a trait he sheds quicker than a candle can be blown out.

History: Hylin was born just outside of Caemlyn, Andor and raised in awe of Aes Sedai with his three brothers and two sisters. Like a typical boy, he spent his summers getting into trouble. (Such as nabbing pies from a neighbors window, or releasing a stud into a pasture of mares.) His winters were spent doing more chores than he could count, chopping wood, trapping for furs, watching the herds of horses, sheep, and cows. Just after his eighteenth winter, Hylin decided to leave home and attempt to join the Andoran palace guard. His parents were understanding and bid him good luck when he left, promising to make an attempt to visit the city just before winter.

It was two years before any other changes took place in his life, minor skirmishes in the country side not counting for much. It was after one of these skirmishes, a scuffle against some hostile Murandians, that Hylin was able to meet his first Aes Sedai, a man by the name of Darick. Darick Sedai was of the Yellow Ajah, and along with healing was also willing to test any man that wished to take the risk of learning. Of the hundred and two soldiers that volunteered for the test only five were found able to channel. Once the fighting was resolved, those five set out with Darick and took up the white robes of Novicehood, and Hylin had never been happier in his life.

Novicedom didn't exactly fly by, nor did it crawl. Hylin made a few friends here and there, a few not-quite enemies, and more acquaintances than had lived in his village. It was almost a year before anyone could identify his strengths, Spirit and Earth, because none of them were highly pronounced. He was found worthy of the Arches after his sixth year as a Novice, though he didn't actually take the test until the second offer.

In his third year as an Accepted, Hylin created a lasting friendship with a peer, Yinoli. About six months later, he met the love of his life and future Warder, Vasa. While trying to juggle his two new found lady friends, he managed to nurse a talent for Earth singing, as well as some shield weaves that were more attack then defense. His time in a banded robe ended after five years, the oaths being placed to bind him for as long as he remained sane.

Vasa was bonded within a month of his Raising, and the two left to journey the world and see what needed fixing. When they returned four years later it was with another Warder, a man named Danry, and the complete opposite of Hylin's first.

Since his return to the Tower, Hylin has remained to teach when he feels the urge, and help whenever he is needed. He hopes to gain a position in the Hall someday, or possibly even Master of Novices, though he knows either is a stretch and therefore neither very likely. But it gives him something to dream about during his spare time.
