Physical appearance: Thin and muscular like a dancer. Long, straight black hair hangs to about mid-back. Eyes are a deep dark brown that almost look black. Her facial features are strong, and made up of sharp angles. She looks more exotic than beautifull.

Personality: Quick to temper she doesn't like taking orders, but will grudgingly. Once her respect is won she is loyal to the death. Like most women from Saldea she is strong willed and stuborn, but she is still very young and inexperienced. A hard outer shell of foul language and dirty looks hides a warm hearted young woman.

History: Parents were both killed when she was very young and she was raised by an uncle who was a merchant. He himself was a widow with several boys of his own to raise. As the only girl in a familly with 6 sons, Chiandra was thrown in with the lot and instructed not only in combat and tactics but in running the business as well. She took to the sword play and tactics like a fish to water, learning quickly to adapt her form to deal with older and stronger siblings. Although her mind is very mathamatical she did not enjoy the idea of becoming a merchant. On her 16th birthday she was presented with a new sword, light armour and a choice. She saw that she could stay with the family, becoming either a guard or a merchant. Or she could go off into the world and find her own spot.

Dreams inspired from seeing an Aes Sadai and her warder filled Chiandra's days and nights. She knew where she wanted to go in life.
