Welcome to Starfly's News Service, SNS, your source for the news that I think is interesting!

Today's Top Story
"Matrix" Makes You Murder
- At least that's one theory they've puuut oout with the DC Sniper case and many other murder cases since the movies were released. I guess it's nice to have a scapegoat, eh? Just another case in the "Video Games and Movies make people do horrible things" file. I, for one of many, disagree with this idea. You are responsible for your own actions. If you do something bad, you can't cop out and go "Neo made me do it." When I was young, I learned that lesson. Let's everyone else learn it too.

Other Pieces of News
Rita-rats
- Scientists are doing a study on the lllongg-term effects of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder drugs. (Say that three times fast, eh?) Apparently though, the drugs are depressing the rats and making them more reactive to negative stimulus than positive stimulus. From the study, it seems that the rats that were given stuff like Ritalin when they were little are no big rats that are clinically depressed and react to stress more than reward. This is never a good thing...can you imagine how many depressed rats there are thanks to these scientists? I chose this story because I used to be on Ritalin when I was in high school. On a side note, rats love cocaine.

Do the Logan
- In late news, Bryan Singer is returniiing to direct X-men 3 (Which I will name "X3: Logan's Run" until it stops being funny). The original cast, however, has NOT been signed to return yet. This could make the movie cost quite a bit, or they get a different cast. The release date is scheduled for 2006 though.
