Finally! Mondo stars in Generation X after a very strung out put-off. But, I assure you, the wait was worth it.
In Generation X #8, Mondo is supposedly kidnapped while hanging out on the island he's lived on for most, if not all, his life. It is here that we find out his friend, Cordelia Frost, sister of Emma, set him up. You see, being the wannabe that she is, Cordelia wanted to be the next White Queen in the Hellfire Club so she kidnapped Mondo in order to bribe Shinobi Shaw, the partial leader of the Hellfire Club, in order to get what she wants. Didn't really work. Not only was Shaw not that impressed by this 16 year old's find, but he was soon taken away by some unknown operatives. So what'd she do? She turned to her sister for help. Emma reluctantly agreed to lend a hand but kept her suspicions as always.
When the kids (minus Chamber, Penance, and Banshee) found Mondo, he was presently outnumbered and surrounded by the same operatives with guns he was captured by and later escaped from. After a very humorous conversation he had with the armored men, GenX decided to step in. Soon, the fight was over, the villains got away, and GenX plus Mondo and Cordelia went back to school.
In the midst of all this, Penance had some sort of attack and Banshee checked up on it with his old flare, Moira MacTaggart, who didn't really shed much light on the subject.
In the second part of this book, we see Skin and M moving things out of Ms. Frost's place and into the science room. While M flies off with some bagages, Skin notices a diary dropped from one. He reluctantly opens it to reveal fully drawn pages with short captions at the bottom of each. These hint at a few things. In one, we see her father sitting in hte distance of two identical baby cribes. Here's my take on it; M has a twin sister or there are twins somewhere in the family. Odd twins. Makes sense. There's also another about Emplate. Before Skin can finish it, Monet comes back and he freaks out and starts babling then goes to look at dirt. How inconspicuous.
