About myself :

Hello, my name is Andreas Schlager. I am 20 years old and i live in one of the most beautiful cities of europ, Vienna. Vienna is the capital of Austria, the home of art and wine. I am working here at an internet provider to earn the needed money. I am working as a ... hmm ... jeah, no one knows that exactly, but i think i am some kind of engineer and girl for everything.

I have a small apartment that i had furnished medival with a lot of hard work. My most important objekt is mounted on the white wall. A original scottish Claymore of 1m80 lenght and nearly 7kg weight. Maybe you have noticed it, i am a true fantasy fanatic or short ff. I play guitar, roleplaying games, hear music, read, or just enjoy televison (i love fantasy movies) in my sparetime. But most of the time i am working on some adventure. Sound`s important, right ? As a creativ roleplayer i hope to get some of my work into the public. But that is not easy in Austria. Roleplaying is nearly unknown here and even i had only come to it with luck between a holiday in Greece. But this fate has altered my live.

Anyway, what more should i say? I am honest, a dreamer, romantic, a little bit supersitious, often frustrated, lazy but very creativ. I love meals from italy and comfort. Animals and nature have a very special meaning for me. Unfotunatley, i can`t hold some pets in my apartment. I would have two cats or a colly if i could but that`s another story. I am facinated from wolfs, shadows, mysterious secrets, the evil within humans, religions and of course dragons.

I have only some good friends (i would lay my hand into fire for them) but i am trying to get some connections. Unfortunatley, roleplaying is not a wide spred hobby and equalminded persons are hard to find. Maybe i find some friends with this Homepage ...

About Roleplaying

Like the most players i have started with D&D. That was the first time i read about swordfights, dragons, medival time, magic, orcs, castles, sieges and many more. It don´t last long and i had pulled all my friends to fantasy. Altough some of them changed there love to science fiction, a small group of fanasy fanatics stay together and they are playing each weekend since 1988. Most of the time i was the master. I got seldom the chance to play as a player character in adventures. Two novels has changed my point of view totally. First of all, there was the "Dragonlance" Saga from Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. This epic novel, that contains more than 25 books in the german version, tell about the traditional contest between good and evil. Dragons, knights, good and evil gods, mighty mages and three moons colour these novel. And then there was "The Wheel of Time" from Robert Joran, containing the life of three epic heroes. And last but not least there are all the fantasy movies showing all of your dreams in perfect reality.

My Charakters

I use four charakters in each of my roleplaying games. There are my true personality, my true character, somehow. Or maybe there are the kind of man i want to be ...

Hakim - is the name of the thief. He is dexterious, cunning and adventurous. Altough he stumbles everytime in problems, he manage to solve them. Many think that luck is on his side, and he doesn´t try to ignore that. Hakims weapons are his wits, his agility and if that is not enought his knifes. Hakim is a traveller a player who has forgotten about the seriousness of live and seeing only the good sides of all things.

Dorian Gray - is the name of my mystic soul. Dorian is a mysterious person. He is immortal and it looks like he has some pact with an evil force or maybe with the evil himself. Altough he will not be evil he look cold blooded, curious and even stonehearted. Dorian have mystic powers. They are like magical powers but are different in many ways. Dorian is a little bit selfminded but tries to overcome his background and his history. He is signed by the time.

Arkes van Oran Satar - is the name of the warrior. Arkes is a master of the Sword. He is a true adventurer, everytime on the quest for glory. He want to be a hero, someone important. No way is too long for that, and no danger to serious.

Damodred Valheru - is the Dragonlord. Through a bond, long forgotten by mankind, he is bound to a creature of unbelieveable might. He is the friend of all Dragons and it seems like he is one of them. At this point of view he is like them, mighty and intelligent. Most of the time he stay at royal courts. There he is known as a good warlord.

Gurps

I started with D&D. Next i tried AD&D, Batteltech, Ars Magica, Shadowrun, Palladium, Cyberpunk and Warhammer and finally Gurps (from Steve Jackson). All systems contain some good and some bad rules, but with gurps came a system playable for real good fantasy. Sure, we had to modify it.

Khell

And so i started to write my own fantasy homeworld. The world was already finished in my mind, and i had only to write it down. I create Khell - The World of Shadows. This world was a margin of all fantasy novels and movies i had ever seen. Gurps has no own world and so it was the perfect system. At the moment i am still under the spell of fantasy and roleplaying and i hope it will never end...
