THE HELL'S FOXES CLUSTER:
THE ROAD TO REDEMPTION

The Hell's Foxes Cluster started as a call to a crusade by Star Colonel Brenda Lassenerra. Brenda had been plagued by dreams of the Star League and a planet for months. These dreams also gave her glimpse of a constellation that contained here answers. When she finally figured out where the planet was located, she secretly recruited over 100 mechwarriors, pilots, elementals, and armor drivers and journeyed to the Inner Sphere on a crusade to find her answers.
The collection of warriors landed on the desert world of X10488 and encountered Fox's Fusiliers. Blind rage (goaded on by A.D. Fox) and tactical errors (not scouting out the Star League facility properly) led to the defeat of the Hell's Horses' warriors and presented Fox's Fusiliers with a huge amount of Clan salvage.
Now that the Fox's Fusiliers had this wealth of Clan equipment, the question arose: what were they to do with the personnel that came with it? Everything from shipping them to the Wolf's Dragoons to executing them was brought up. Then one commander commented: "Well...... we have 'em. Why do we do like the Clans do and use 'em?" This comment lead to the creation of the Hell's Foxes, the largest Clan-operated unit to work for a mercenary unit outside Wolf's Dragoons.
Hell's Foxes work extremely differently than the unit they work under. No Hell's Fox gets paid (being paid is dishonorable). All they receive is the necessaries of life and the chance to fight. The Hell's Foxes are never hired out, as working like mercenaries would be next to suicide (hence the lack of a Dragoons Rating); The cluster will only fight if the battle will bring honor. This has led to many engagements against the Clans, who are considered their kin and equals. This has also made the Hell's Foxes a bit of a burden in expenses, but so far the Dragoons have kept up.
The Hell's Foxes have only battled Inner Sphere once: on Rainer's World when the Fox's Fusiliers defended it against Roger's Warhammers. On that occasion, the Warhammer's actions against the populace of Rainer's World forced the Hell's Foxes to react on their own, without the orders of A.D. Fox.
The Hell's Foxes paint their mechs black with red highlights and firebolt-style zebra stripes.

OFFICERS
Star Colonel Brenda Horse leads this most unusual unit. Although a blood-named warrior, she has given up the surname until she rejoins the Hell's Horses. Her moderate Warden views have kept her in the Inner Sphere and her Hell's Horses' training and upbringing have allowed her and her warriors to adapt to working with Inner Sphere warriors. He upbringing has also allowed the Fusiliers to give her more insight into leadership, which has tamed her more wild lust for battle that made her lose on X10448.
Not wanting her warriors to lose their edge, she drills and pushes her warriors to the limit, demanding nothing but the best from them. They are still Clan in her mind, and must act like it at all time. She considers it her duty to keep this unit in the traditions of the Clans until she and her warriors return to their breven (or they return to the Inner Sphere, whichever comes first).

TACTICS
As the unit is made of Clan warriors, they use Clan protocol when fighting. Bidding between units is common and Zellbrigen is encouraged when the situation allows it. The cluster has no particular fighting style but will use "freebirth" tactics if a victory is needed.

5 Binaries/Elite/Reliable
CO: Star Colonel Brenda Horse
The Hell's Foxes closely resemble their Clan counterparts. Although causalities on X10449 does not allow the cluster to operate in trinaries, it does follow the standard TO&E for Hell's Horses. There are five binaries instead of trinaries, with Binary Delta being comprised of aerospace and Binary Epsilon consisting of armor and conventional infantry. The cluster uses a mix of omni and second-line machines, but the Fusiliers are constantly replacing mechs so the Hell's Horses can be more like a Clan unit. The cluster is considered reliable in loyalty to the Fusiliers, but still harbor a desire to rejoin their Clan in the future.
