Instruction Manual #1/ Getting your page into Geocities

<!-- It is safe for me to assume that before you follow the instructions in this second manual, you have already registered yourself a member of Geocities. I chose Geocities because of its efficiency and ease of use. Okay, are you ready? I recommend you print this page first before anything else. Go ahead and login at http://www.geocities.com/members/tools/file_manager.html Upon entering the File Manager, you will see a list of files, but in your case it would be a list of only one file, called index.html. This file is actually one of the most important in your website. When a visitor enters or clicks on your root homepage address (example: http://www.geocities.com/Splitsville/Divorce/911), the file that will be displayed will be index.html. Thus http://www.geocities.com/Splitsville/Divorce/911 is essentially the same as typing in http://www.geocities.com/Splitsville/Divorce/911/index.html. For your first homepage to be published online, you need to send or upload all your files (that compose your homepage) into Geocities. Picture yourself as an author who sends his drafts to the publisher for it to be published into a bestseller. Scroll down until you reach the EZ upload section of the File Manager. So far, you'll need to upload only two files: index.html and thinkbuild.jpg. To do that, click on browse, then look for index.html inside your root folder. Do the same for thinkbuild.jpg. Make sure you upload all the necessary files that make up your website (html files, picture files etc.) or else your website will not turn out correctly. Once successfully uploaded, you can now view your very first homepage online! Congratulations!-->
