Eternal Gift

And then he kissed her gently
And whispered in her ear,
'Much like this rose will never wilt,
Our love remains unchanged.
This velvet rose will be our gift
For when we find each other again.'
With that he kissed her on the lips
Then looked within her eyes,
And as the gods watched these young wisps
They placed them in the skies.
