Two Sides

Sister Mary
by Kora Kel Neera

As I enter the Valley of Death
I do not regret what I had left.
Now that I'm here, I look around
And see her sitting on the ground.

She stares at me through eyes of glass.
All around, her bloody mass.
Arms outstretched, she calls to me.
Patiently awaits my plea.

Yet I continue towards the light.
She urges my horrific flight.
Then I stop suddenly.
My minds destroyed, insanity.

She grabs my arm painfully.
I'm too paralyzed to flee.
I call out, "Father, save my soul."
It's too late; she's reached her goal.

Now she's filled with eternal joy,
For I'm added as her toy.
She does what she wants to me,
With her power, she's blinded me.

Oh, gods of wisdom, you were right!
You warned us of their brilliant light.
Now I'm condemned to their hell.
For the rest, please break this spell.

Please help in all they do,
And keep their spirit loyal to you.
Don't let them suffer any this pain.
Monotheism destroys the brain.

The Lonely Stone
by Silver

Somewhere deep inside a cave,
In a mountain by the shore,
Sat a stone, sad and grave
'Cause his life had been ignored.

All alone, he wondered why
No one came for him.
All the others said good-bye,
those who were his kin.

"Aren't I worth anything.
More then a pebble of two."
No one answered, not a thing.
"Oh what am I to do."

"Don't I glisten anymore,
Don't I shimmer and gleam."
He saw an image at the door
Something out of a dream.

"Who are you?" he said out loud.
But the image did not adhere.
He just flew open his death shroud
And the rock grew in fear.

The image began to dissolve
In a flash of steam.
In walked through a common girl
And the rock began to beam.

She saw him and smiled true
And ran to where he lay.
He shined bright with light anew
For he found a home that day.
