FACT FILE: Flynt-class Fleet Carrier
USS Braveheart (NCC-51002)
The Flynt-class fleet carrier is undoubtedly one of the largest starships in Federation history. It embarks a huge number of auxiliary and aerospace craft and plays a critical role in delivering large amounts of these forces to a given area. Due to it's size and complexity, it is relatively slow (Warp 5.6) and makes a prime target, so it must be part of a heavily defended task force in order to be effective. It's size and complexity also come with a corresponding price tag, and only four of the large carriers have been built to date.

The Design
The Flynt-class carrier was designed by Byron
Flynt in 1993, the year in which it was approved as a class by STARFLEET
OTS, making it an official chapter/class. Originally, the chapter was the
USS Silent Warrior (NCC-51001). Today it is the the USS Braveheart
(NCC-51002). The tech specs generated by COL Flynt were used to write
this page.
Number of Flynt-class Ships
The Braveheart-generated specs specify one other ship besides
Braveheart and Silent Warrior, the USS Nomi Sunrider.
One also presumes the first of this class would have been the USS Flynt.
